About this property

Waterfront Luxury Cabin with kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing

  • Welcome to The Quarry at Blackwoods—a one-of-a-kind waterfront private retreat where luxury meets the outdoors. Tucked away on 90 private acres just off Scenic Highway 23 (the famous Pig Trail Scenic Byway), this brand-new tiny home offers the perfect place to unplug while still being close to everything you need.

The home comfortably sleeps up to six guests with a private king bedroom and a loft featuring two queen beds. Inside you'll find a fully equipped kitchen, one full bathroom, comfortable living space, and breathtaking views of the crystal-clear quarry from nearly every window.

Step outside to enjoy the covered pavilion featuring a fireplace, TV, dining area, and an additional bathroom. Relax on the private dock overlooking the 100-foot-deep quarry where you can often watch giant catfish—some weighing over 30 pounds—swimming beneath the surface. Spend your days fishing for catfish, bass, crappie, bluegill, and perch, or explore the water by kayak, paddleboard, or rowboat, all provided for your stay. Life jackets are also provided and are required whenever guests are on or in the water.

Although you'll feel completely secluded, you're conveniently located near local attractions and necessities. A bait and tackle shop is only about 10 minutes away, a liquor store and gas station are about 12 minutes away, and several restaurants and fast-food options can be found within approximately 15 minutes.

Wine lovers will enjoy exploring Arkansas Wine Country in nearby Altus, just 15–20 minutes away. Spend the afternoon visiting the area's renowned wineries, including Wiederkehr Wine Cellars, Post Winery, Mount Bethel Winery, and Chateau Aux Arc, before enjoying a memorable meal at the historic Wiederkehr Weinkeller Restaurant, famous for its steaks and Swiss-inspired cuisine.

The Quarry is also an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Pig Trail Scenic Byway, one of Arkansas's most iconic drives through the Ozark Mountains. Fayetteville is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away, making this the perfect destination for a peaceful weekend escape while remaining close enough for day trips. Fort Smith is a 30 minute drive away.

Wildlife is part of the experience here. It's common to spot deer, wild turkey, and occasionally even black bears from the tiny home's windows. While much of the property is wooded, there are also open areas surrounding the quarry that provide incredible views and room to relax.

To preserve the peaceful atmosphere for everyone, no parties or events are permitted. The maximum occupancy is six guests, including visitors. All guests are required to sign liability waivers before accessing the property and its amenities. To help protect the property and maintain its natural beauty, ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and other off-road can be stored on the property but not used on the property.
