The woman at the front desk accommodated us, as there was no one there. We lugged our stuff to the second floor, which ended up being on the farthest end of the building. It gave us a much better look at the property. Our room had no heat and had a perfect view of the dock that was underwater. We packed our things and booked another hotel in the area. The woman at the front desk understood and was nothing but kind. This place has completely given up and should shut its doors. There was one other person in the hotel, who looked like he may have been “maintenance.” It seemed as though he lived there and when we walked by his room, he came out and was on his phone, looking like he was taking pictures. I can not emphasize how bizarre this whole experience is. I was in a rush and didn’t read the reviews. Don’t make my mistake. As I said, tired. Not its fault. The room was clean but again, felt old right down to the white towels that were old, worn and gray. Shower wasn’t draining and I was wading by the time I was done. I didn’t hate it but I don’t think that’s the bar we are trying to hit. At least it was convenient.
