Had a great 4 night stay at Skimblescott Barn.
Had a great 4 night stay at Skimblescott Barn. The property is very clean, comfortable and spacious with excellent furnishings and equipment. The colder November weather meant we were not able to use the outside facilities and spaces as much as we would like but these would be excellent in Summer. The only downside was not having a pub/restaurant nearby.

Although we had to cut our stay short due to a car problem we cannot fault the Barn. Absolutely superb. Thor (our Black Labrador) loved the garden with the snow. Would highly recommend Skimblescott Barn. The relative remote location adds to the charm.

We've had the most relaxing week while at this property.
We've had the most relaxing week while at this property. Very comfortable and a home from home with everything we needed supplied. The views from the living area are fabulous.
The owners are very friendly and although they are right next door if you need them, will leave you to enjoy your stay.
The only downside was having to get in the car to go anywhere as the shops and pubs are not within walking distance (not for us anyway!). However lots to see and do once you're out and about.

Our first time at this lovely barn.
Our first time at this lovely barn. Had everything we needed for our break. The garden is secure for dogs which is great. The owners are lovely and not intrusive. We liked it so much - we've booked it twice for next year. Bridgnorth is about 9 miles away for shopping and a lovely shops. Looking forward to returning and exploring the area more. Totally recommend!

This is our second year in a row back to Skimblescott Barn as there was much to see and do still in the area and we knew the cottage was perfect for us.
Large kitchen area means that no one gets under your feet and a spacious living area are perfect for relaxing.
The bedrooms have plenty of storage and the beds are comfortable.
We were blessed with really sunny weather (apart from one thunder storm which being remote we could hear coming for miles) so we were able to make the most of the garden.
The garden is completely secure so we could leave the doors open with no worries that our dog was going to escape.
The cool tiled floor in the kitchen was perfect for cooling down a hot dog!
The only reason marked down for amenities and this is no fault of the cottage is that it is quite remote, perfect for us, about 15 minutes to Much Wenlock. There are a few pubs closer than that but you need to drive. Waking up and hearing sheep, birds and the cockerel is much nicer though as the cottage is on a working farm than being close to things.
There is so much to see and do in the area, especially if you have an English Heritage membership.
We would definitely return to the cottage, unfortunately we have pretty much exhausted the area.
Thank you for another lovely stay.

Well-resented, comfortable, very spacious cottage.
Well-resented, comfortable, very spacious cottage. Have given a slightly lower mark for location - the location was absolutely fine for us, but if someone is expecting amenities (shops, pubs etc) to be within reasonable distance they might find the driving to take a little longer than desired. (Must emphasise - it wasn't a problem for us. We were happy there.)

Skimblescott barn was much more spacious than we were expecting, really well kitted out with everything that we would need. The cake and other items left for us was a very nice touch. The weather while we were there was not very good, it was nice that the property owner popped round to check that we were warm enough and if we wanted the times altering on the central heating, the cottage was warm enough for us so no changes were needed.

Best accomodation we've stayed at. Everything you could think of is provided and more! Friendly owners and family. It was like a home from home, our 2 Westies loved the very secure garden and the friendly dogs they met through the gate belonging to the farm. In a great position with lovely views. Lots of walks and pretty towns to explore within easy reach. Would definitely recommend this wonderful barn.

In a beautiful location.
In a beautiful location. The owners are close by if needed but cottage felt private. We live in a small 2 bedroom flat and this cottage seemed to be enormous, especially the kitchen. You could hold a dance in there.
One slight niggle is that the radiator in the double bedroom is small for the room size and the room never felt warm. Having said that I would definitely book again but maybe not in winter or early spring.

Fantastic cottage with lots of space and well equipped. The garden is very secure for even the most determined terriers! Really enjoyed staying at the barn, very comfortable, warm, clean with everything you need on hand. Friendly owners with tasty welcome pack on arrival. Added bonus of being able to walk round the farm fields straight from your doorstep. Amazing looking out from one of the bedrooms into the barn with sheep and lambs. Much Wenlock only 5 miles away, a very dog friendly village. Look forward to returning - highly recommended.
