Local shops are accessible on foot. They are located in the village centre, about 800 metres away. During your stay in Mouriès, there will always be something to do! The village of Mouriès is known for its numerous events. Mouriès offers several cultural and bullfighting events throughout the year. Mouriès is also known for being the capital of olive oil. You will find numerous olive oil estates in the commune, some of which will be delighted to open their doors to you. The manufacturing process of this oil will no longer be a mystery to you. Mouriès is also the starting point for many hikes. Beautiful paths await you and will lead you to discover impressive landscapes of the Alpilles. You will also find numerous activities, such as a public tennis court or an 18-hole golf course (less than 2 km away) and an equestrian centre. You will also enjoy exploring the small surrounding villages, such as Saint Rémy de Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence and its impressive citadel, Maussane and Aureille. The nearest large cities are: Arles (27 km), Avignon (35 km), Camargue (50 km). EXTERIOR This charming cottage with a swimming pool in Mouriès has a lovely enclosed garden of 750 m², beautifully flowered and wooded, with an electric gate. The garden is fitted with: A pleasant swimming pool (8x4m, depth of 1.50 m), with a security system of Alarm type. It is accessible by steps. (open from April to end of October from 8am to 10pm) A lovely wooden terrace welcomes you, for good moments of relaxation, fitted with sunbeds, parasol and chairs1 private and shaded terrace (20 m²) facing the kitchen, with dining table, chairs, sofa and hammock, A mobile barbecue with charcoal The owners live in another house, adjacent to this one. The swimming pool is not used by the owners. INTERIOR This charming villa with a swimming pool in Mouriès is on one level. It is brand new, carefully decorated. It has a living area of 90 m². GROUND FLOOR: Main living area with air conditioning (45 m²), consisting of: Kitchen and dining area (25 m²) equipped with a fridge, a 3-burner ceramic hob, an oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a toaster, a kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine and a filter coffee machine. Living room area (20 m²) with TV (TNT channels) DVD and a sofa bed for 2 people. There is air conditioning in the lounge and main bedroom but we didn’t need to use it much as the property stayed reasonably cool if we kept the shutters closed during the heat of the day. Nice outdoor seating area overlooking the pool. The pool is a nice size and kept clean each day by the owner. The owners, who are friendly and helpful, live next door but keep out of the way unless needed. The location is good - within an hour of Marseille, Avignon and Arles and 10 minutes from a number of supermarkets. Thoroughly recommend this gite!! ##### Lesley B. Der Pool war leider noch etwas zu kühl zur intensiven Nutzung, Kneippanwendungen waren erfolgreich. =;-)) Ausgestattet ist das Haus mit allem was eventuell gebraucht werden könnte. Wir haben es nicht vermisst, aber ein Zugang zu deutschem Fernsehen wäre evtl. wünschenswert und sicher machbar, da Internet vorhanden ist. Grand jardin, au calme. La maison est spacieuse, lumineuse, joliment décorée et propre. Les 2 chambres donnent sur un jardin et possibilité de coucher 2 personnes supplémentaires dans le salon dans de très bonnes conditions. A environ 10 min à pied du centre ville avec toutes les commodités. A proximité des Baux de Provence, de St Rémy de Provence, de Arles, de la Camargue. Belles randonnées dans les alentours faciles. Paysages variés avec les Alpilles, les oliveraies, la mer ... Le jardin est partagé avec les propriétaires mais on le sent pas car ils savent restés discrets. Et malgré tout aux petites soins quand il le faut. Bref de très bonnes vacances dans un gîte très agréable. ##### Laurence F. Cette location est spacieuse pour 4 adultes ou un couple avec enfants. Très bien décoré, agencé et confortable. L'équipement est complet, il ne manque rien d'indispensable. Seul petit défaut (si vous êtes avec de jeunes enfants), la très belle piscine est sous alarme mais non clôturée donc il faut surveiller. Nous en avons profité avec plaisir malgré cela. Les propriétaires sont à l'écoute et fort sympathiques. La situation est parfaite pour rayonner dans les Alpilles, faire un tour à Arles, Avignon et Nîmes. La mer est à peine à 1 heure. La région est magnifique, nous ne la connaissions pas. Merci pour cette location.
