Beautiful and well appointed cabin. It was in a beautiful setting on the river and we saw wildlife daily. The screened in back porch is so nice in the early morning and evenings. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend.
We had a lovely, restful and relaxing time at Bear Cabin. The river was cool and clear but the embankment was a little steep. Nothing unmanageable. We booked this cabin for the screen porch and it did not disappoint! Morning coffee on the porch was perfect. We spent most of our time porch sitting and enjoying nature. The cabin is quaint and the kitchen is well stocked. We hope to be back!
This cabin was so peaceful and cozy! Stocked with everything you need. Beautiful view. You can walk down to the water to fish or swim. Cute bonfire set up with a swing. We all had a great time!
My family and I throughtly enjoyed this cabin and want to return soon( maybe this summer). We fished and caught a small trout and swim in the water. Kids played the whole time( wasnt even interested in tablets) and crashed when bedtime.
An incredibly serene and beautiful place. We spent more time on the screened-in back porch than we did inside. It was so peaceful. We can only hope to make this an annual trip.
Our family has stayed in cabins in La., Ms, Al, Tn, Ga, and NC. This is the absolute best cabin of them all. I've never had a cabin stocked as well as this one. The view is breath taking. We spent most of our time on the screened in back porch and at the fire pit. (You can get firewood at walmart.)
Thank you for letting us stay in your hidden gem of a cabin!
A friends get together was a lot of fun at the Bear cabin. It is secluded clean fire pit. Lots of trees and privacy the only thing was we could not get the fire place to work but it didn’t matter. We will definitely be back and the water is a walk down a hill and the guys caught lots of fish. I just can not say enough good things about the place. BRING FIREWOOD WITH YOU.
The location was beautiful. We had a wonderful time.
Communication was not the best.
The place was beautiful but wasn't as well stocked as what we were used to. We couldn't find any dish rags and there was no coffee. I know some places stock more than others but no coffee really suprised me!
The weather has been miserably hot so our family decided to make an impromptu trip looking for swimming holes to cool off! This cabin fit the bill perfectly!!! The kids were swimming in the river the first evening! The next day we went to Blanchard Springs Caverns for a tour and swam in two different swimming holes before returning to swim some more. The next day we spent all day swimming and catching trout at the cabin. We checked out the next day and hit Gunner Pool before heading home. The cabin’s remoteness was perfect for us. It was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked and the grill was a bonus. Relaxing on the porch was great, even in the sweltering heat. The kids absolutely loved it and were asking to come back soon and of course, stay longer. Check in and out was easy. I would absolutely recommend this little gem and hopefully we will be back soon.
If you are looking for a relaxing location, this is the place. Cabin was fully stocked with everything you might need. Our location along the river front was perfect for wading and playing in the water as well as fishing.
We had a great time at the cabin and wish we could have stayed longer! We visited Blanchard Springs Cavern and did some fishing. We loved the fire pit and roasting s’mores. We will be back!
We all absolutely loved the cabin and the view that came with it! We were able to roast marshmallows and had fun playing the board games! This will be one of our go to's for future use!
The cabin was perfect for our family vacation with the river and fire pit out back our kids spent all day outside play, fishing, swimming and making s’mores. While it was a 20-30min drive to town it was the perfect location to get away and be disconnected from work and social media. The cabin had all the basics making our stay convenient and easy. Highly recommend!!
Pictures don't do this home justice; it's extremely clean and very well-equipped. The upstairs could be a cabin by itself; it is so large. The river is very close and the wildlife in the area is abundant and active. We had thousands of fireflies up in the trees every night we were there. Truly magical, feels like the middle of nowhere, but only 20 minutes to town. Definitely would stay again, preferably in the cooler months when we could use the wonderful fire pit.
This place is great for fun and relaxing. Fully stocked. It’s a little steep getting up the hill to and from the river but other than that it’s perfect.. The view of the river and the bluff from the back porch is worth the stay. Highly recommended.
