"This was a perfect place to unwind and rejuvenate. The privacy and scenery were perfect. Listening to the creek while sitting by the fire pit, completely mesmerizing. Felt completely at home and comfortable. Will return. Highly recommend!!The only areas I could see for improvement is updating towels and wash towels ( they are a bit worn) outside furniture covers (current has mold from being left in the weather) , coffee pots (1/3 worked)."

"We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was close to town and to the activities that we had planned. West Jefferson is a cute little town with a variety of shops and restaurants to chose from. Check out the Ashe County Cheese store, hiking at West Jefferson State Park if you want shorter hikes (both strenuous and easy/moderate hikes available) or Grayson Highlands in VA to see the wild ponies. It was nice to have the hot tub to use after the hikes. The weather turned cooler which was a nice break. If you plan on cooking at the cabin you will need to bring the basics as the cabin did not have any seasonings (salt & pepper was all we needed but there was none, cooking spray or olive/vegetable oil). Also, if you plan on using the dishwasher don't forget dishwasher soap. The cabin provides dishwashing soap for handwashing dishes but not to use the dishwasher (usually 2 tablets are provided at other rentals we have been to). It would have been nice to have an all-purpose cleaner available so I could wipe off the counters after cooking breakfast but there was none under the sink or anywhere else that I could find. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room in the living room to spread out for a group of 5. All in all, I would highly recommend the cabin and even though we had to make several unexpected trips into town to get some basics it was a quick and easy enough drive to do so (6-7 minutes from an Ingles)."
