Find the Best Mount Mitchell Bed and Breakfast

"I hesitated to book here because the room rate was considerably more than other motels in town. Arrived exhausted from 8hrs driving and was looking forward to the warm country hospitality that I’m used to in rural motels. What I got was a surly and rude young woman on reception who didn’t greet me or even smile. Was treated like I was booking into a backpacker hostel. Room was on the smaller side but adequate for two people. Kettle had black sediment through the water. Ended up using the microwave for coffee. Poor lighting. Mattresses were comfortable at least. Bathroom had plastic dispensers for all amenities. A bit like a public toilet. Toilet seat was too small and exposed the rim meaning you had to sit on that. Toilet paper had been used and was almost finished. The holder was also broken so it fell off anyway. At the price point for this motel I expected better. "
