Shower rose lack of water. Cold water tap handle comes off . Shower door broken. Constant dripping on aircon outside all day and all night from aircon up a bove our room number 1

The manager help us, she had beer delivered to us!!!!! weeooooooooo But is a great place to stay and is very close to everything.

The staff were excellent, so friendly and helpful. The clean surrounds and pool were a life saver in the heat. It was such a welcome surprise to find friendly staff and good facilities, having stayed in some of the nearby hotels previously. Many hotels in the area feel unsafe, are a hang-out for drunks and undesirables and have poorly maintained facilities, yet here is a true oasis in the desert at a very good price. An absolute pleasure.

Overall the motel was okay, but there were some issues such as the room having a leaking tap. Request a downstairs room but none were available which is understandable.

Difficult checking in as reception unmanned
Reception unmanned during checkin time and buzzer not working. Waited 10 minutes after having to call. Fortunately room was clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped and good value. Unfortunately people wandering around car park outside unit during the night, so didn’t feel secure.

When we arrived at the motel after driving 600 km, the manager claimed there was no record of our booking. We had booked in Feb and received confirmation from Expedia. We then had to find alternate accommodation with next-to-no assistance from the motel, and there was no accommodation in Mt Isa at such late notice. We were then forced to find accommodation 120km away and had to drive to and from Mt Isa each day to attend previously-booked activities.

Comfortable bed. I was supplied a heater for the chilly weather which was nice. Wi-fi failed at times. In fact it got so bad at times I had to abandon it, and the motel wasn’t full. Enough bench space. I used the second towel as a bathmat, as I didn’t trust the fluffy mat supplied had been laundered between guests. It might well have, but it’s better to supply laundered towelling mats. This motel is in easy walking distance to a large supermarket, which makes it a very convenient place to stay.

I had no complaints about the room, location (very close to shops, bank, and petrol station; and is on main highway). My only concern was I had booked online with Wotif.com, however staff advised they did not have my details on record, as most guests usually book direct with the motel. In fairness, staff were helpful with me registering on arrival, and there was no difference in costs. Overall, I had a relaxing stay.

We actually did not stay as when we arrived other ‘guests’ were loitering around giving us reason to question security. Then my husband mistakenly went to the door/room next to ours only to find his key unlocked the door! We felt very vulnerable with the security of motel. On my way to office to complain I tried another room door only to discover our key also unlocked this door! We no longer wanted to stay at this motel so requested a full refund. This was granted. The manageress blamed her staff, but we questioned her competence & authenticity. Room looked comfortable, but would not stay due to lack of security.

Receptionist wasn’t prepared when we arrived despite having the room book all day. She then had you go check and clean our room before when we checked in. Toilet didn’t flush. Bathroom looked unclean. Walls thin and very noisey. Not worth the amount of money that you pay.

We were disappointed in this place mainly because we were in an upstairs room in the older section. The pool was tiny and uninviting. However the room was clean and the bed comfortable.

Great location. Quality sheets towels and good bed. Made to feel extremly welcome. Motel a little dated but super clean and very affodable and quiet. I would have no hesitation in returning.

Nice comfortable motel.
This motel did not disappoint. Older but very clean and comfortable. Even though the motel is on a major road, it was very quiet. Only one small item to discuss was there was no remote for the tv. If it was in the room I could not find it. Did not bother me though. I would stay again.

My wife and I stayed at this motel at the commencement of a five week car trip to outback NSW and Queensland. Wagga was very cold at night but the motel was comfortable and cosy.

Whilst the rooms are adequate, the place is very run down. Needs a massive refurb and clean up. anything else apart from the actual room is not a place a guest would want to be. Broken chairs and an overgrown, unkempt "bbq"'area which we couldn't use anyway as they were out of gas. They were also annoyed that we had booked through Expedia for $125 and tried to charge us $165 as they state that is their rate. If you were to pay that, you'd be disappointed!

I paid for full services but...free WIFI wasn't available during the full length of my stsy. TV remote was missing. I downloaded an app that I could use on TV but I didn't jave access to Foxtel. Manager wasn't interested in sorting the problem out but happy to charge full hotel costs. For the same price that I paid to stay in this tired hotel, in Brisbane i got a luxury serviced apartment with full kitchen and laundry with the trimmings.

All people associated with the Central Point Motel were professional, lovely and approachable. The layout of the room was one of the best we have stayed at over many years of travelling. It was close to information centre, groceries and food eateries.
