I thought it was expensive not to have breakfast included. And then the cost of breakfast was steep for what was served.

We are so sorry for your disappointment in our pricing. We do try to be fair to everyone and our pricing matches the market value of today. Breakfast is a bit costly, but with the cost in rising prices it is difficult to not raise pricing.

It was quiet- that was expected for this time of year, so it was nice. However, it was not clean. There was hairs all over our comforter that didn’t belong to either of us, we paid extra as we wanted a jetted tub that didn’t work, when we walked in it was absolutely freezing, the glasses were still dirty with lipstick stains. We both ended up feeling absolutely miserable and left the hotel that night instead of staying we drove the 2 hours home. We were supposed to hear from the supervisor the next day and we have yet to hear from them this is now Monday evening we left Saturday evening. Check in went wonderful they let us check in early over the phone due to it being the off season and it being already “clean” even though we still didn’t arrive until 3:05 so really it was only an hour early we checked in we could’ve checked in at noon had we been in the area. The employees we dealt with were great but our overall experience was far from.

We’ve stayed at the Wilds a few times but this was the first time we went on the Spirit Trail. We really enjoyed the walk through the woods and along the Salmonier river. So many beautiful sights to see.

Very disappointed with our stay. Attempted to eat in dining room on 3 occasions during our 2 night stay. Not open once. Ate in bar once. Second time there wasn’t any food service and the third was a ‘limited’ menu of 4 items. Had to leave property often for food. Conditions of property show lack of maintenance and do not reflect pricing. Least favourite of our stays during vacation and the most expensive. No tee times available during 3 day stay.

The villas were very beautiful! Only complaint was no AC, but the heat that we are having now is unusual. Beautiful place, well taken care of and great staff!!

Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dining room was closed so ate at bar. Breakfast was continental and had to ask for items as they were not readily available. Felt rushed before we finished eating waitress was there with the bill

The grounds of the resort are beautiful. The rooms are poorly maintained, and the fact that there is no servicing of the rooms is a definite con in my books. Our BBQ didn’t light, the drain of the bathtub was clogged, there was an incredibly unpleasant amount of hair around the hair dryer. Breakfast was a continental “buffet” which had very little selection. It has potential to be a nice resort, but it needs better maintenance.

My family are so surprised how good is the hotel. It is very clean and have so many fun activity nearby. The employees are friendly and very helpful.

The hotel was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was big with a great view of the golf course. The bathroom and furniture were a bit small.

We paid a very high price but the resources were limited and not matching to the price. Like, no dining, outdoor trails were not cleaned. No outdoor swimming pools. I understand it all depends on season, weather too but paying the same price in summer and winter and limited availability of resources for the same price for different season is not acceptable. I couldn't use most of the facilities which was highlighted as main attraction to the resort.

I am so sorry you did not have a positive experience. As you know, the outdoor pool is not open in April, and just so you are aware, the Villas are less money in the off season than the price for the on season. As for the restaurant, I do apologize, however you were in a suite with a BBQ, Toaster, Microwave, kettle etc. I do hope that if you come back again, you will enjoy your stay more. The trail is a constant battle with the type wind that we have here. Maintenance does their best to keep it cleaned and clear, however, sometimes, it is really a battle to keep it up. We do appreciate your feedback. It is through this that we are able to improve.

What a hidden gem in the wilderness of Newfoundland!!! The Resort was awesome, the food was fabulous and the golf was amazing! Definitely heading back there again and looking forward to winter activities with them!!

The setting of the property was beautiful and the unit we had was great. It contained what we needed and more. The menu of the restaurant was a little limited and the food was average.

Overall the property was pretty good, but, the lights in the jacuzzi didn't work, no information for the internet password or check out time, having said this we did arrive late, it was early in the season, we were the only guests but and they did give us the entry door password, but once inside there was no information whatsoever and when I tried phoning I couldn't get through to the front desk. With the couple of problems we would go back!

Expedia said I was getting a king suite which sleeps 3. We were 3 adults. This was not the case, only one king bed. We were switched to a room with 2 double beds. It sufficed

Maybe nice for golf, not for an overnight stay....
Arrived at 7pm on Saturday evening. Restaurant was closed. No offerings of any basic foods or drinks. Room was small and dark,no ceiling lights, just one lamp on table, and one by bedside. Space between one side of the bed and wall was less than 10 inches. Noisy guests throughout the night. Room heater made lots of noise also. No breakfast offered. Handed in keys and all we got was a "Thank you' not ""how are you,how did you like your stay" etc. Paid $ 195.00. that was $ 100.00 too much.

I am so sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. Due to the circumstances of the past 1 1/2 years with COVID we have been closing our restaurant early as the demand to keep it open later is just not in keeping with current demand. However we did recommend a near by restaurant and did ensure that they were open for you to avail of. St checkout, I responded thank you to you for your keys. Our restaurant was open this morning for breakfast. unfortunately, you did not return to inquire as to whether or not we were open for breakfast. In hindsight, I should have mentioned to you last night after I made sure the nearby restaurant was open, that our restaurant was indeed open for breakfast. Again, we apologize for the inconveniences you experienced at our resort as our aim to go above and beyond for our customers.

We had a beautiful stay at the wilds. We didn't go for the golf, just a night away. Supper was lovely as was breakfast. Grandkids loved the pool. It was very relaxing. Of course it wasn't busy so noise level was low. Don't know how it would be on a busy night as there is no carpet on the floors and the sounds do carry!
