"I wanted to stay here for nostalgic reasons - the Hotel Salak was the only hotel in Bogor when I was growing up in this city in the 1970โs to 1980โs. The hotel shows its age, the furniture is dated. The staff is friendly. The room & bathroom are average."

"The hotel was outdated. The sheets and blankets were dirty and the pillow cases weren't so clean either. The staff were friendly but that's about it. The breakfast was disappointing and very limited. You can hear the traffic outside even with windows closed and it was hard to get a nights sleep. The refrigerator in the room did not work at all. Not a great place to sleep even for one night. Terrible. "

"The hotel offers reasonable value for money, but could be fantastic given its heritage. It looks like it could do with refurbishment (last done 25 years ago?) We chose to stay here as my parents had stayed there 70 years ago. Breakfast in the restaurant were very good with a strong local flavour. unfortunately it does not open in the evening leaving only the small cafe in the atrium area. We did not use the small pool. "
