I was there two times in a month. First time was good with the room and the service. The second time I stayed in a room in the last floor with no air conditioner and no coffee maker and the staff was rude when I asked for those ammendities.

The incredible rudeness of one particular staff member on check in desk name of Victoria was very disconcerting. It made a horrible atmosphere every time she was on duty.

Friendly hotel in the suburbs
The staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English. They can provide a map and suggestions of what to see in Moscow. The room was clean and a good size with air conditioning, a fridge and a desk. There was a hairdryer in the bathroom but no toiletries. The TV had a few international channels. If you arrive late as we did they offer a limited evening menu and there is a small bar with beer , water, tea and coffee. The drinks were reasonably priced. Wi-fi - worked well in the room and public areas. Location - the area was safe with several children's playgrounds. There are limited restaurants, bars and cafes. The metro is a 10 minute walk (2 lines available) and is next to a small shopping centre with a 24hr supermarket. The metro was efficient to get into central Moscow and a 3 day travel card is very cheap. This allows you to use all forms of public transport. Transfers - the hotel offers transfers to and from the airports. Email them and they will send a price list. The taxi driver was very friendly.

Staff was friendly, specially those in the restaurant. Hotel located near metro. Room clean and comfortable. My only complain is about the curtains, they were not dark/thick enough to block the sunlight at midnight...

limited spoken English by staff made communicating difficult. staff was not helpful. very short on their answers and not helpful. seems they did not like their job, The only shinning light was a young man by the name Alex, he helped when he was on the desk. Will not recommend this hotel to people that has no command of the language! (Russian)

My last night in Russia, a great gift!
I really enjoyed my stay at Maxima Irbis Hotel. It is a beautiful, clean and comfortable hotel. It is near a botanical garden and the hotel itself faces a beautiful park. I REALLY enjoyed staying there and I recommend anyone who wants to relax in a calm and beautiful environment away from noise to stay at the Ibis Maxima Hotel in Moscow.

Quiet hotel close to the Metro.
This was a nice hotel, especially for the money. Away from the mainstream Moscow but Metro only 10 minute walk and it was a direct Metro ride into Moscow City Center! It was quiet the first 8 nights even with a full hotel. The last night about 25 children ages 10-15 checked in. They were running around and loud during the early evening but the chaperones and Hotel Staff made sure they were in their rooms and quiet by 10:00pm - THANKS! The Staff was outstanding and friendly and spoke good English. They were extremely helpful and gave us many good recommendations for sightseeing. Not good selection of restaurants in the area but you must try the Villa Toskana. Lots of fast food choices near the Metro. A large supermarket and numerous shops next to the Metro. The food in the Hotel restaurant was very good and extremely reasonable. We ate all our breakfasts and many dinners in the Hotel. The mini breakfast was a great deal! The wifi was free but slow at times in the room. You could purchase high-speed wifi for the room but I found the free wifi was fast in the Hotel Lobby Bar. Plus they had great cappucinos there! Many thanks especially to Yulia, Victoria, Viktoria and Raul in Reception, Ainura and her male counterpart in the Restaurant, and the entire housekeeping staff. The Hotel also had a spa which I didn't take the time to use-I wish I had gotten a few of their massages after full days of sightseeing. I will plan on staying here again my next visit to Moscow. THANKS!!!!!!

Great hotel in a pleasant suburb.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Irbis. It is situated in a pleasant suburb to the north of central Moscow. The road is tree lined and it felt safe and peaceful after spending the day in the frantic pace of the centre. The hotel is clean and well maintained. An excellent range of food was provided for the buffet breakfast. We used the hotel restaurant for an evening meal for all eight nights. They offer a good choice of meals with a main course costing around £10-12, which is much cheaper than central Moscow. After supporting the restaurant for six evenings, we were a bit annoyed to find that we had to eat in the bar area, which was sometimes smokey, as the restaurant had been reserved for parties at the weekend. The hotel was generally quiet, but the party on Saturday night resulted in some noise, and a poorly supervised school party on Sunday night, took great delight in banging on the doors of other guests. It is a pleasant walk to the hotel from VLADYKINO metro station, passing a couple of convenience stores on the way. The hotel is well signposted once you have crossed the main road, although the script is in cyrillic so it is easy to miss if you cannot read it. PETROVSKO RAZUMOVKAYA metro station is slightly nearer the hotel, but the route is very icy.

Well, the first day I was put to the room with sheets smelling like tobacco farm. The water/shower has no issues. Wifi is relatively slow comparedto the hotels available in Moscow. Staff is now majorly not Russian, they are making lots of mistakes in management decision-making. Small parking lot, basically not guarded but free of charge which is rare for Moscow. Breakfast is good, 4 out of 5.

Nice hotel
This is good hotel. Personnel is friendly, rooms are clean and comfortable. Subway and beautiful botanical garden are in 10 and 15 min walk. Neighborhood, especially near the subway, could be better. Transportation to the city center is easy and convenient. Price to quality rate is excellent.

We have to enjoy the big breakfast everyday. Room cleaness is good. The location is good, metro station is nearby. However, there is one minute walking in the dark in the way between station and hotel, so we need to speed up our steps.

This hotel was a good selection for me. As a 3 stars, this hotel should be on the upper side of the list. Excellent breakfast (the best I have had in many years in this hotel category), as well as very clean both, room and common areas. Convenient ATM inside of facilities. Metro located at around 10 minutes walking. Although the neighborhood looks safe and very well maintained, there is a couple of blocks going to the Metro that looks unsafe. (It is my appreciation, but I did not have problems and I saw women alone walking by this area during night). Definitively I will return if have the opportunity.

The details about where the hotel actually is, is misrepresentative. It is not a 5 minute walk to the metro station, as we were led to believe. The staff were fairly accommodating and were helpful in some instances. Breakfast was good. DO NOT use the hotel services as there is an incredible charge for any additional excursions you are wanting to make. Took half a day to book one excursion to St.Petersburg. Not ideal.

I was disappointed to the response I received to a complaint of street light entering the room during darkness that disturbed my sleep every night. Complaint was made and I was offered a room exactly the same condition on the same floor! We had also booked the hotel on the basis of it being close to the Crocus Exhibition centre - this was not the case and we had to travel 90 minutes each day each way to reach the centre. I would also recommend that they make their lobby bar a little more comfortable as the current arrangements are minimalistic at best .....it would have been good to have somewhere to "slob" out after a long day.

a nice hotel for travelers. reminds the travellogde in the UK but the room was larger. its situated just inide the 4th circular road of Mscow, so its easy to reach by car, if you can cope with the congestions. the meals were a bit expensive and not worth the price. I got much better meal at a 4* hotel in the center of Moscow. the area is not the best in MOW but not dangerous but much less then the bad areas of London. the tube is 5' walk and takes 20' to the red square..

You are NOT welcome
It's not just a pity for staff that you came there, but they HATE YOU. Receptionists, bartenders are hard to find, always hiding somewhere and working only when you kick them. On every request they make sad tired faces, showing you that you are not welcome at all. Breakfast ends half hour earlier than declared. I came there at 10:35 am and staff removed all food and yelled at me that I came too late. Worst bed ever with thin matress. I felt every spring in it. They didnt change linen for several days.

This is a nice hotel, although a little far from the metro station(about 10mins by walking),and you should go to the right exit of the metro station,nor you have need much more time to the hotel(about 30 mins).And there is a railway near by the hotel,but not very noisy.Theirs breakfast is very good,many good eatings to choice.By the way,this hotel has a exchange machine,really very convenient.

a NICE FINDING IN MOSCOW CITY !
The hotel is really an amazing finding in moscow city, but the LOCATION is very TRICKY, it is located on a RESIDENTIAL AREA OF MOSCOW, taxi drivers lot of them, do not even know it does exist, make sure to have a MAP and INFORMATIONS about IT'S LOCATION, i am sorry not to able to help with the NEAREST METRO NAME, but you should call the hotel and ask, this will help you very much, now there are 4 hotels MAXIS, THIS ONE IS IRBIS, make sure you have the right address, the metro is about 1 (one mile) from the hotel, i would NOT recommend arrive in the hotel by metro, go by taxi, you can use the metro to go to moscow city center with no problem, one thing rooms are VERY NICE, ROOMS ARE VERY BIG, AND COMFORTABLE, AND CLEAN, ALL WORKS, HEAT SYSTEM, no problems, very nice breakfast complete and tasty, newspaper in english, and some channels too, it was a real nice surprise.

The Hotel is quite good, reasonably priced. Staff is friendly and speaks very good English. (except one girl at the lobby bar). Breakfast buffet is fantastic, hotel offers a good range of decent quality food. The wi-fi is basically free (3-hours option, then you can enter same login and password again and get another 3-hours etc.). The only minus is a location, however Vladikino metro station is about 10 minutes away.

Do not forget write in your reservation that you request air conditioner, otherwise you will get room without it. Breakfast was good.
