This is a great little hotel in central Moscow that I do highly recommend. I've stayed in the area before and it doesn't get much better than this for location. Almost anything you'd need is within a few blocks' walking distance, including a metro station. Despite its central location, it's on a quiet, one-way street along the canal. The Deluxe room was nice with a great view of the canal, but a couple things detracted from the charm. The facilities and room were kept quite clean, but there the carpet was heavily stained and damaged in a lot of spots, making the floor look rather dirty. The bathroom was better; only minor water damage near the shower. A huge plus for a couple was having both a shower, and a separate bathtub with its own shower. One other minor thing to be aware of is that the room service only operates when the restaurant is open, so there's no-middle-of-the-night munchies without a little walk.
