Great location, 20 min walk to the Kremlin, lots of places to eat and shop within walking distace away. Room was below avarage, even though we paid for superior room with the view, we were given the standard room, at least it is listed as standard on the expedia page. Reception stuff refused to pick up the phone when expedia agent tried to contact them to resolve the issue. Clean sheets, and comfy bed, however the floor in the apartment looked old, sticky and nasty. Some things in the apartment were broken or with visible damage. Breakfast was included, food is ok, nothing fancy, hot coffee and tea during the breakfast at no extra cost. Overall, its an okay place. Be aware what you are ordering on expedia and what you might actually get are two different worlds.

Location is great! Breakfast is excellent! Rooms are small, bathroom is very small. You get new towels every day, but you have to ask to refill shampoo. Floor covered with old carpets and never been cleaned under 8 days stay. Staff are very friendly.

Service could be improved... they were helpful but didn’t seem to happy about it ... few issues locating my passport at reception so I’d just kept it in your room. Easy walk to arbat st and 20 ish mins to kremlin . Breakfast great.

We checked in the night before our tour. The following day,we checked in on our tour and had the bar fridge filled and water included which was not there the previous night.We also asked directions to the nearest supermarket and were instructed to go in the opposite direction to where the supermarket was. While I appreciate that English is a second language, it was very disappointing to be given misleading directions.

Awesome Hotel - Best location in Moscow
It was really a very nice - clean hotel. A great value for the money in Moscow. Everyone was helpful and kind. The breakfast was good. They would call a cab for us when needed and held our luggage after check out - til we were ready for departure later that afternoon.

Just OK
The hotel is clean and neat, but not special in any way. The service, the breakfast, the comfort of the room were just barely OK. The rooms was tiny even though was listed as "deluxe", the a/c -- loud and with bright LED lights, the shower had only warm water etc. The location is very beautiful and central but far from any Metro line. I am not likely to stay there again.

I think this was my worst hotel experience ever! The rooms were small, which i am ok with, however the bsthroom was an entirely different story! The bathroom has no ventilation and the fan was not working. I tries to take a shower and the shower head was broken! I spent 2 hours trying to explain to the receptionist what the problem is, he would not listen. In the end They sent the maintenace guy who could not fix the problem. I spent 2 horrible nights there. Horrible hotel!! Stay away!

It isnt as bad as they say
The service is good and the facilities are alright. The staff are friendly and accomodating. Remember if you are paying for a cheapr 4 star hotel it might be a 3.5 which this is. We had no shower curtains, the wifi didnt work all the time and the AC needs servicing. The breakfast is basic & edible Otherwise, its in a great location especially if you are a Ghananian😉.

Nice location
Cute hotel with the nice cafe downstairs. Free breakfast was not bad. Only thing I didn't like - thin walls. You can hear absolutely everything and everyone from another rooms. They should do a better installation.

Soviet-style nostalgia
This is a good place for Soviet-style nostalgia. Room was small. Lights were dim. It did the job, but the comfort level was average at best. The restaurant, by contrast, is quite modern and breakfast was very good.

Moscow Wowed
We found this hotel to be a great place to stay. Being from the States and going over to Russia and not knowing what to really expect when we got there I am happy to say we made a good choice in this hotel. They were very welcoming and able to answer all of our questions. The breakfast was more than filling and was a great way to start our days of exploring and seeing the sites of Moscow. They are located a quick 15-20 min walk from the Red Square if you want to walk or 10 min to the closest Metro. I would also like to say that if you ask about their new kittens they are willing to let you see and hold them to get that kitten fix as well. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and would stay there again if I find myself back in Moscow again.

Clean affordable apartment close to downtown
We stayed in one of the apartments not at the main hotel, and it was a perfect space for the two of us in a quiet neighbour hood but close to many sights. Doorman was very helpful but didn't speak much English. We didn't know it would be two flights up, luckily he carried our bags up for us! A couple small improvements like more light in the bathroom and to fix a dripping tap needed. Breakfast at the hotel cafe wasn't included but was delicious and cheap - totally worth it!

Not a happy experience
We did not pick up from our confirmation that we were in an apartment and not in the hotel proper. We had 3 people so they gave us an apartment. It was a 10 minute walk from the hotel, once we figured out how to get there. They did give us a ride over with our bags. There was no phone to contact the hotel so we had to go over there if we had a question. Not convenient. The guy taking care of the apartments was not around after we checked in. The apartment was OK. Third floor and no stairs was a bit difficult with our bags. Lots of electrical outlets and good wifi connections. After our first night we felt better. The office staff was not happy to be working with Americans. Not very helpful and limited English with half of the desk clerks. The breakfast buffet was a great selection and tasty. Would not go there again, even with two for a room in the actual hotel.

Purchased king size hotel room with breakfast included, received apartment with no breakfast and off site. No one rectified the situation. Mistake blamed on Expedia. Made no difference to me, as I still didn't get what I booked.

Well located and Courteous staff.
The room which was first offered to us was on second floor without access to elevator, so it was difficult to carry and bring back your luggage, as well as to climb up and down the stairs for many times during the total stay. On request to change, finally we were offered room number 402, which was too small in width for a standard double room which we had booked and whose area on their website they show to be 24 sq meter. There was hardly any space to move.

Hotel close to Red Square/Kremlin
We were able to leave our bags at the very attractive hotel in the morning but when we checked in later in the day, we were taken to a location 3 blocks away and had to move all our own luggage. Now we were in an extremely basic room on the first floor with no night security. After vehemently complaining to the front desk and asking for the manager several times to no avail we were told we could move to a different location the following day. This did happen and they did pay for the taxi to move our luggage to the new location. Still not the "hotel" but a much nicer and more secure place. Maid service is every other day except to remove garbage.

The apartment room was quite far away from the main hotel lobby, which is where the counter for check in & check out is. We then had to walk and drag the luggage to the apartment building ourselves, which took about 15 minutes. The apartment building also doesn't have the storage room for luggage after checking out. The apartment staff was quiet rude, spoke no English, and offered no help with the luggage (our room was on the third floor and there was no stairway). The so called "free wifi" didn't work at all during our 4 nights there.

Inexspensive hotel in great area.
This hotel was perfectly located for our needs. Had to visit the US embassy, which was about a10-minute walk away. Clost to Arbat street and Red Square. Price was VERY reasonable, sonsidering the locatio.
