The food, wine pairing are incredible reflecting the talent and the passion of the owner. Wonderful Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, on the edge of the Black Forest. Spa and pool complete the package and its location ideal for a short stop to continue travel to France, north or south Germany or for spending a few days exploring Freiburg. Although the check-in was efficient we were not told about the Konus Card available to visitors for free train and bus travel in the Black Forest. We learnt of this in the local tourist information office, but only after we had checked out. The use of a fan in the non-aircon room would have been a bonus.
