If you’re seeking a truly distinctive luxury glamping escape in Northumberland, centred around relaxation and well-being, this beautiful shepherd’s hut offers the perfect retreat, tucked away in natural woodland where rolling countryside meets big, open skies and views to the sea. Explore nature walks from the doorstep or head to the coast for strolls on the long, sandy beaches. Druridge Bay Country Park (5.5 miles) has a fabulous beach over the dunes, and a circular lakeside walk with a café for refreshments. Visit Warkworth Castle, with riverbank walks, village amenities and sandy beach (8.5 miles), and the bustling marina and harbour at Amble (8.5 miles) with popular seafood restaurants and ice cream parlours. Alnwick Castle and Gardens is a must-see (13 miles), and historic Morpeth’s market town (7.5 miles) has a range of shops, bars and restaurants to discover.
Step up into this spacious roulade-style shepherd’s hut for two with luxurious bed linen and many thoughtful touches throughout. In addition to the central heating, there is a wood burner for extra cosiness during your stay. Whether you are soaking up the views from your private, covered deck or catching up with some reading, this hut will feel like your own private sanctuary. The well-equipped kitchenette has everything you need to make a meal, including a gas hob and oven, a fridge, and all necessary crockery and pans, and you can pull out the dining table to eat indoors. The king-size bed has a bespoke stargazing roof window so you can enjoy the spectacular starry dark skies in comfort before you turn in for the day. A sliding door opens to the charming en-suite with a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and WC.
French doors open onto the spacious, covered deck with two rocking chairs where you can relax with a drink at sunset. Unwind in the hot tub, dine alfresco sitting at the picnic table and spend evenings around the fire pit toasting marshmallows. There’s off-street parking in the shared parking area and a wheelbarrow is provided to help transfer your luggage to the property.
