Hotel is in need of updating and renovation
This hotel is stuck in the 1980s. I appreciated the openness of the lobby, but it clearly is showing its age. Wallpaper is torn off in spots. There is a very smoky smell upon arrival. Let's bring it up to 2017 and it will be much better.

Expensive, but clean and friendly staff
We had a nice two days. In my opinion, the Ramada was a bit expensive for an older, visibly dated hotel. But the room was clean and the staff was friendly, so a very positive experience.

THE PARKING LOT NEEDS BETTER LIGHTING AT NIGHT. THE ROOMS AND BATHROOM ARE SMALL - YOU CAN TELL IT IS AN OLDER HOTEL. THE LOBBY WAS VERY CLEAN AND DECORATED NICELY. THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable, with a nice large newer television. Bathroom is in need of updating; toilet and shower were not operating at 100% but were functional. Didn't try breakfast bar. We had three guests in a room and after using the same towels for two nights in a row, we requested three new towels and were told we could only have two because they were running short on linens. Overall, the room was okay.

Never Again!!!
Before I write this review, I have to say that Hotels.com was extremely helpful in trying to resolve this issue. We were very unhappy with our stay at the Ramada Morgantown! We reserved a King room and called to confirm the room the evening we were to arrive. Since we prepaid, they said all was fine and we could arrive anytime. We were staying here as we were dropping our son for his freshman year of college. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were told that our room would be 2 doubles...they gave our King room to another client! So, we went from a King to a Double! When we asked why we were not told this when we called he said the client was unhappy with their room and requested another King! We said, but we reserved a King. He just looked at us! We asked if there would be a credit provided for the lack of service. He said no. Hotels.com was quick to respond when we called. They offered to find us another hotel, which we declined since it was close to midnight by the time we were able to settle this. They were unable to get a response from the hotel to provide a reason or credit for our inconvenience. Hotels.com were supportive and helpful! But I will NEVER stay at this Ramada again! Service was rude and inconsiderate!

The ceiling in the bathroom leaked and looked like it could crack open. The AC's leaked water all over the floor throughout the hotel. The food was over priced. The staff seemed complacent and accepting of the conditions. During the continental breakfast the staffed found humor in the fact that patrons are standing around, waiting for food. Then my family overhears them chuckle and say, don't make any more, it's too close to closing. Our room was not cleaned or replenished. If it wasn't for a "minimum 2 night stay" rule, I would have left the first night. Honestly, I thinka refund of some sort is definitely warranted.

My sister and I got stuck in the elevator for about 10 minutes. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good.

Room has a musty old odor. Mold in bathroom ceiling walls door and sink. Cobwebs in room. Not sure when the last time the room was cleaned or someone even stayed in it. Breakfast very limited and not fresh. Would not recommend this hotel.

We were passing through, but definitely would not recommend for that purpose. There is nothing remotely close, although it was easy on easy off the highway. There were an excessive amount of hairs in the beds, towels, on the carpet, etc. The room smelled horrible. Musty, like wet dog and stale smoke. The bedside table had a constant flow of ants on it. five to ten at a time. The staff was very friendly, but the room was lacking soap, wash cloths and cups. It was frustrating and embarrassing to have to keep asking for the minimum requirements. At breakfast a mouse ran through the dining area...that about sealed the deal for me.

Was in town for softball tournament, so didn't spend much time in hotel. Hotel was nice. Could use some upgrades, but was in line with the price. Only complaint is ice machines. I was on second floor, machine on 1st and 3rd. One machine didn't work at all and other one gave me very little ice and stopped working. Would recommend for short stay if main need is someplace to sleep. I can't comment on the entertainment or dining because I didn't use either.

We needed a place to crash for overnight and this is suitable for that purpose. Bathroom has traces of smoking and was difficult to breathe. The breakfast is good.

As stated liked the area that the hotels in. Close to Highway - enjoyed shopping. However the hotel is old and outdated. In addition we had a mouse. Not my favorite!

Hotel was clean, quiet and convenient. The only complaint I might have is the lady working in the breakfast area of the morning. Free continental breakfast, but when we sat down to eat, a lady comes by the table & asks what room we were staying in. No explanation why, no smile. Just asked & walked away. Just seemed weird. I know its not just this motel & it is many city ordinances, but I think it is just ridiculous that you can't get a smoking room anywhere anymore!

Rooms need updating
We needed a room for the night and it was late when I booked it. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very nice young man on the desk. He checked me in and gave me the important details I needed regarding where the elevators were, hours of the restaurant and the like. The lobby is very impressive with a beautiful staircase in the center. I was very excited to think of what our room was like. Unfortunately my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I walked into an outdated room. The carpet was worn, the bathroom was in need of updating but everything was clean. The beds are very hard which made sleeping nearly impossible. The hotel is in a very quiet location but I don't think the room was worth the price. The most disappointing part was the bent flagpole outside. If you are going to fly the American flag I think the pole shouldn't be bent.

Hotel employees were extremely courteous and helpful. The room was nice and clean but the carpet needs replaced. Breakfast was good and the staff was wonderful. Their customer service at this hotel could not have been any better. The only problem was rude guests that think it's ok to come in in the middle of the night an make as much noise as they want. I'll never understand that. I would reccommend this hotel as a good place to stay in Morgantown.

Old, worn and in need of a serious makeover!
Toilet wouldn't flush, carpeting was ripped, hair dryer was dead! A very creepy hotel-hallways are nasty, everything Is old! I would never recommend this hotel! When I complained, they took a whopping $20 off of my bill!

We only spent the night there and had to drive into town, but we had a great meal at Oliveiro's in the wharf district.

Ok for an overnight stop
The 1st room they gave us was a handicap room, bathroom was a wheel chair one, it's was also musty smelling and not at all apealing on 1st floor. Got changed to 4th floor much better room. They are slowly doing renos but the dark brown really needs to be updated to a lighter colour very depressing. Bed and pillows where very comfy. We stayed her 1.5 years ago and they where doing renos then also. The hotel has great potential just needs to be brought into this century with regards to colour scheme. Price was great and we will stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the interstate.
Looked for a clean hotel online near the interstate. This hotel was clean and convenient. The room was very large with a refrigerator and a microwave. The mattress was very firm, which is what I like. Didn't try the hotel food. Went to a nice Mexican restaurant 1 1/2 miles away. The hotel was on top of a mountain with quite a view.

Terrible Hotel
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There were spiders in our room, the wallpaper was falling off the walls, our toilet ran all night. There were people in the halls until late hours keeping my family up.. The pictures on line do not do this place justice as I was duped into believing it was not a bad hotel until I arrived... I am not one to complain about a lot of things but I will never stay here or another Ramada inn again!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE!
We selected this hotel because it was a way point to a NFL game. The hotel is in major need of renovation. Wall coverings are worn and torn, as is the carpet. Ice machine had been removed and not replaced. Front desk was poorly staffed and had insufficient materials to work with. Room HVAC system could not have been any louder. Bathroom was so small it was rediculous and also in poor repair. This facility does not deserve to be rated at a 3 and should receive a negative number rating. Insofar as value, the rate should have been less than 1/2 of what I paid.

Roomy with a great breakfast!
The hotel itself is a bit old, but that was ok. The room was very clean and everything worked. We ended up with a handicap accessible room which was very large, especially the bathroom! The breakfast was by far the best free hotel breakfast I have ever had! There were biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, eggs, Danish, cereal, etc. Just about anything you could want. I would definitely stay again.

Try this hotel...you will not be disappointed
Stayed b/c a group of college buddies and I turned 60 y.o. and wanted to attend the WVU Homecoming football game. The Ramada Inn provided a very affordable stay and w/o a pricey prepaid arrangement. The reservations were cancellable w/o any payment loss. And, the best part, they fed us with a wonderful breakfast buffet the following morning. The hotel and staff were as good as any top shelf hotel I have used for national scientific conferences.

Location was nice, the room was clean except for the smell(smelled kind of like sewer back-up). Very noisy ( we were near the entrance)I didn't like the $50.00 hold they put on your debit card for 4-10 days. Not sure if I would stay again
