I’ve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and have to say this was the cleanest one of them all! We really loved the entire stay, the fire pit was great and the location was fantastic!
Great location close to things we wanted to do in there area. Lots of amenities with this cabin for all ages. Plenty of space and very well appointed and spotlessly clean! Would love to stay here again.
We loved the property and all the amenities; it was also so clean! Be prepared for stairs and hill climbing, exactly as advertised. Would love to come back again!!
Had a great girls trip at this cabin. Clean, well stocked, easy location off exit, excellent communication with rental company!. Road up to cabin a little rough but car just fine to get there. Driveway well paved. Would definitely stay there again :)
The cabin was truly Heaven on a Hilltop. The views were great. The listing photos were very accurate. The cabin interiors were very warm and inviting. The cabin was well-equipped and we had a wonderful stay.
We had a great time. The house was conveniently located to hikes. The road to the house was definitely steep and narrow but this particular house had entries with few or no steps. The hot tub was close to the house and private. We enjoyed the fire pit and porches and the kids loved the game room! It had everything we needed and was very clean. We had 10 people and fit comfortably.
Our group of women (8 of us) have been going to the Gorge for 7 years. Normally we go through another site. This time I wanted something closer to Natural Bridge hiking trail (this is only 2 mile away). I found this through VBRO. Best decision ever! This is one of the few cabins I found without bunk neds! Perfect for older 50 women.with 5 queen beds, stocked kitchen to cook, and game room, this cabin will not disappoint.qe will definitely be back!
Check in was easy. As we drove up to the house the banister had christmas lights on it and lite since we got here around 5 pm. Walked into the house and it was all decirated with a lite tree and all. Very festive for our trip that was replanned this year due to helene that destroyed ashville nc. We are very greatful and used everything that was provided and listed. Game level fir pit and hot tub. Grand kids were happy and we enjoyed our 4 day stay. Thank you so much!!!
I've been traveling to Slade annually for several years to enjoy cycling on the scenic mountain roads. We typically go with a larger group of 20-30+ people who stay in a variety of local cabins. This cabin was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Definitely one of the best local options that I've stayed in. It's very difficult to find anything in this area that even sleeps 4 friends comfortably. While the cabin lists as sleeping 10, this consists of 5 Queen / King beds. If a couple of these Queens were replaced with 2xTwins, it would be even better. The size of the cabin can accomodate that. I would definitely come back.
The property was excellent! Very clean, lots to do in the house and everything we needed for our one night stay. I would definitely stay again.
My only complaint was that I didn't receive check in information in a timely manner. I messaged the VRBO host to ask about check in info and received a repsonse but that response did not answer my question nor did it provide any check in information. I had to call Scenic Cabin Rentals on our way to the cabin to acquire that information.
The property itself was perfect. Communication with Scenic Cabin Rentals was stellar. Communication with VRBO left much to be desired.
My family of six had a great time at the property. There was plenty of room for all of us and tons to do outside. The hot tub needed a cleaning but nothing a few chemicals couldn’t take care of…we still enjoyed it. We will definitely be back as it was the perfect getaway.
A great little cabin! The space was well suited to bring our family of 8 people together to share meals, play games, and overall just enjoy time together! The kitchen was well-equipped with plateware, cups, mugs, cutlery, etc for 8 people. There was also many other kitchen gadgets including an air fryer, mixing bowls, casserole dishes, a wide array of cooling utensils, etc which made cooking easy. We went at the beginning of January. There were Christmas decoration put up which added a nice touch to the cabin! Very thoughtful of the hosts, who were very easy to contact by the way.The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were nice! The cabin was just a short distance away from the local attractions while still being pretty private.A couple of things just to be aware of with the property. The road to get to the cabin is quite rugged and extremely steep in some places - plan your vehicle accordingly. The upper floors of the cabin get very warm compared to the ground floor. And you might want to google how to operate the hot tub - it took us until the last day to figure out how to operate it and get it up to a good temperature!

Disliked: Cleanliness
Place was not clean as promised per COVID guidelines
The place was not clean as had been communicated when asked. All the beds had hair on them. The refrigerator and oven were dirty too. When we called to ask why we were told the regular person who cleans was out of town and there was no other property available where they could send us. It caused us a lot of inconvenience as we spent half a day washing all the bedsheets in each room. They refunded us the cleaning fees but nothing to compensate us on the inconvenience caused to all of us.
The cabin was beautiful & still had Christmas decorations up! They were beautiful. The kitchen was nice as far as everything that was needed. It didn't have storage bags of any kind. So if you had leftovers....you had to go buy your own. The skillets, needed to be replaced. Teflon, and the bottoms were wearing out.The master bedroom, we just thought it was odd to have two beds in there. Typically the master is one bed, one bath. The floors were cold, obviously because it was January. I would just bring slipppers next time. The game room we were disappointed in because the pool table floor was uneven. So all the balls rolled to one side and there wasn't a whole lot of room to play the game. The X Box....batteries were dead.
The cabin was perfect for the 7 of us. The teens enjoyed the hot tub and the game room. The cabin was perfectly located to explore Natural Bridge State Park and also the Red River Gorge area.
We spent five days in this wonderful cabin with my sister and her family. There were ten of us and we had plenty of room. The cabin was nicely furnished. The hot tub was small (four person) but worked well, we just took turns. Very pet friendly, including the fact that all wastebaskets had lids. Very happy with our stay
Terrific stay in a beautiful area in Red River Gorge
Communication with the owner and check in was great. The house was clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The new grill was awesome and we loved the fire pit. The only bad part of the stay was the slope of the parking area, anyone with bad knees will struggle unloading the car. The slopes are to be expected when up in the hills.
