This place was great. Lots to do with visiting the caves and hiking. The price was very reasonable as well. Son looking at going to college at Kentucky Cristian so will be going back.
The back porch was a nice spot to relax, watch the rain, and look out into the forest. The bed was pretty comfortable and surprisingly, the tv had a wide range of channels. The breakfast down at the restaurant was amazing on Sunday! Got the buffet, and I’m telling ya, those biscuits… they are soooo good. Coffee was great as well. Also, they have about 3 or 4 smashed penny machines, so bring all your change for that! Carter caves feels like my home away from home, and I love everything about it,
The cottages were clean and so comfortable, they had everything we needed. Staff were extremely accommodating and honestly seemed happy to work here. We went on 2 cave tours for cascade cave and x cave, both were amazing and i highly recommend especially for families with kids as my 6 and 8 year old loved the experiences
The room was rustic and perfectly acceptable. The private balcony with a pretty woods view was very nice. The only unfortunate experience was the dining room service. They were understaffed with two new teenage servers who were also trying to manage a separate event, which resulted in us and other customers being neglected
The cabins are so cute and very well stocked. Everything was very clean and the staff went out of their way for any requests while being extremely friendly. My partner and I will absolutely be back
The room was clean. The staff at the desk was very friendly and the morning shift waitress was so nice as well as your evening waitress.
We will be coming back.

The front desk was nice and courteous. The room was decent (and it had a fridge, which I wasn't expecting).
The property is a 1950s or 60s building. So with that in mind, it was a very nice place to stay. They have upgraded the rooms to provide modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, flatscreen TV and things like that. My only complaint would be with the property manager, who was going to charge us $3 to have two chairs in our room. I unhappily approved paying for one chair and complained that for a resort park that was going to have two adults in the room there should be no charge. When I got to the property, there were actually two chairs on the balcony so I did not understand charging anything. I brought this to the front desk‘s attention and they removed the charge. The biggest draw is of course, being in Carter Caves State Resort Park. The nature is fabulous. We would visit again.
