A Perfect Vacation Awaits!

  • We welcome you to our little slice of paradise! Our lakeside home is perfect for a family vacation, girl’s/guy's weekend, golf getaway, fishing trip or couple's retreat at any time of year. We are an easy two hour drive north from the Twin Cities and just 45 minutes south of Duluth. The nearby town of Moose Lake offers gift shops, a craft brewery, restaurants featuring home cooking, a bowling alley and a movie theater. This area boasts great access to many recreational activities, such as, biking, ATV riding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, kayaking, hunting, golfing and fishing.

    Be one with nature on our spacious deck overlooking the gorgeous lake. Enjoy great pan fishing and swimming from our dock. Boat rental is available at Sand Lake Resort or haul your pontoon or fishing boat and tie up at our dock. We have 150 feet of shoreline and children of all ages will enjoy wading out into the shallow lake water and skipping rocks. Take a nature walk to the neighborhood park complete with a play structure, ball field, pickleball and tennis courts. Eagles and loons call our lake their home, and their sounds can be heard daily. Every bedroom has a view of the lake. Wake up early and enjoy the sunrise over the lake. Rainy days will be enjoyable with our large selection of board games or stream movies on the Smart TVs in every bedroom. Nights can be spent around a campfire roasting marshmallows and observing the starry sky. Your perfect vacation awaits!

The perfect get away

The house was exactly what we needed as a group of women just looking to get away. Comfortable beds, lots of games to play and a well stocked kitchen. Communication with the owners was perfect. We can't wait to come back when it's warmer and enjoy the lake and fire pit!

Great family getaway

This was our 3rd year renting this place on Sand Lake! We look forward to it every year! The grandkids love coming up here. The lake is amazing. They have everything you could want at a cabin on the lake. Very well furnished with beach toys and we love the deck with the fireplace table! Can’t wait til next year😀

Beautiful lake with loons!

Enjoyed our stay on Sand Lake near Moose Lake. The cabin is roomy with many screens and a large dining table. We spent time on the lake, on the deck and at the dining room table playing games. Loved to hear the loons and paddle on the lake!

Our Sand Lake Vacation

Kevin and Betty Lou’s Lake house was just what we were looking for, for our family vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Amazing views, nice water for our granddaughters and they also loved the sand area. The home was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Very spacious! I would highly recommend this Lake home to friends and family!

A Great Weekend Stay

I have relatives down the road from this VRBO so I booked it for my bachelorette party to have a relaxing girls weekend on the lake. The house was spacious, had everything we needed, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed being able to take the kayaks and paddle boat out! We also loved sitting on the large deck with the table top fire pit. Owners had great communication and were very pleasant to work with. I would stay here again!

We spent another wonderful week at Sand Lake with 3 generations. The cabin was clean and had all of the necessities. The kids enjoyed playing Pickleball since the courts are a walkable distance. Already reserved for next year.

4th of July week-end

Owners were very responsive with our questions. Well-equipped kitchen. Beautiful view from porch. Nice neighborhood for walking. We appreciated the pickleball gear and nearby courts! We enjoyed the paddleboat (full of water from this year's crazy Minnesota rains - but we were eventually able to drain it and it seemed fairly water tight). Some nice fishing even from the dock.

Rode from property to are UTV trails.

We chose this property for its close proximity to the local ATV trails. The property also has a beautiful view of the lake from the large deck. After clearing some of the cobwebs (which with all the trees and such I assume could be a daily task) we really enjoyed that area. The homes interior was very neat and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. Plenty of area for our group of 8. We brought firewood with and had a campfire almost every evening. The owners were great to communicate with. We would definitely consider this property again if we were to return to the area.
