"This was our first time visiting Germany and the house was as pictured. Our family of 8 fit comfortably. We had to ask for a few appliances that were listed in description (toaster and microwave) and the host responded promptly and dropped off the requested items. We ate a the local pizza place and it was delicious. We were close enough to multiple bigger cities and enjoyed those as well (Frankfurt, Cologne, Ramstein, Bad Kreuznach, Kaiserslautern). "We booked for 6 people but neither bed settee was made up. We eventually found some duvets and pillows but no clean sheets so opened a packet of new sheets we found in a room in the basement. The same with towels.The washing machine was on with a load of washing in it full of water. There was a pile of dirty bedding in a room in the basement. There were no instructions in the flat at all .The lights and other electrical systems were ridiculously complicated. Also no instructions about hot water...

"Beautiful little town and great central location on the Rhine. Overall our 3 night stay was good. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had good choices and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Of note, there is no elevator or assistance to bring up your bags. We were on the 2nd floor and it took some effort to get the bags up the stairs. There is also no staff to help with any issues after 6 pm. Not usually an issue but we lost the air conditioning one night and had to wait until the following morning to get it fixed."

"Nightmare transfer from the airport. Followed the instructions to call for the shuttle and it would turn up. Well it turns up with a different name on the white bus, people squish themselves into the 8 seats. Worked out this the was the bus to be told, tough wait for it to do a loop. Not impressed considering I’d called ahead and told it was on its way for me. Call the hotel to find out the still have at least 28 people they are aware of to shuttle. So, wait for it to do its loop 15-20 mins later - it pulls up in a totally different spot and again people start to pile on the bus. Quick jog across the car park and myself and one other that had missed out the first time get on the bus. It drives to the ‘hotel’. Doesn’t look like the photos. Told to wait, the bus driver deals with everyone else that’s on the bus - think they were people picking up cars. Then they ‘check me in’ oh no key ready! It’s 2am in the morning, hotel chap returns to the desk - oh still no key! Makes me a key then says he’s too busy to show me the room- it’s a couple of hundred meters down the road left right left right blah blah. So off I go single female 2am in the morning. Find the hotel and met with a serious waft of cannabis - delightful! The room it’s self was what I’d expect and fine. The rest though disorganised chaos."

"Amazing hotel in an amazing location. One of the friendliest welcomes you could ask for after a long journey. Room was spacious, airy, with the most comfortable bed…… There is nothing not to enjoy about beautiful Rüdesheim….. you will leave with a smile on your face & very happy memories ❤️"

"This is a wonderful hotel set on a hill next to the vineyards … family run, their attention to detail shone everywhere. Check-in was pleasant and efficient. Our room was large and clean, as was the up-to-date bathroom attached. We had a small balcony off our room that was perfect to sit with a cold drink after arrival (though there are plenty of additional welcoming spots both inside and outside the hotel). We have enjoyed a fabulous dinner that evening in their on-site restaurant- the stuffed zucchini was one of the best vegetarian dishes I’ve ever had and the white asparagus was amazing. Breakfast was also quite good and the staff did an excellent job keeping everything filled and tables cleaned. Highly recommend!"
