"It was an unexpected treat for such a small town. The late check-in gives you an opportunity to take an easy walk just down the road, or to check out an exceptionally nice large trading post. A special eating treat is - Comb Ridge Eat and Drink. They have a very nice waiter who will give you lots of info about the area. He was a great guy!"

"The lady at the welcome desk was so FUN, cheery and welcoming. The room was super clean and had a great fridge and microwave.... The light went out in the bathroom but the office was closed and when we left in the morning we couldn't let them know but we figured housekeeping would figure that out. The linoleum in the bathroom needed some work coming up away from the wall by the corner of the door and tub. Bed too firm for me but my sister liked the other bed, so that's a personal choice. The shower has good pressure but the shower head spray was all over the place, it did adjust a bit for rinsing lower extremities. (short person here)...we didn't feel like hooking up or travel showerhead after it extra long drive. Super close to gas and food....great little location, easy in easy out. Perfect parking right by door LOVED THAT!!!.....GREAT ice machine with plastic covers for the scoop. Such thoughtfulness. And again the front desk girl really made our night. We had 3 horrible driving experiences on our way there .. Or engine light came on, we got caught in a hail storm then the tire light came on and couldn't find the gauge, so we were a bit frazzled and she just brought light into our moods. A tad disappointed that the the old car that shows up online in the photos wasn't there, it was one of the reasons we wanted to stay to get some fun photos by it to send to our family car collector.. I hope they update the online info for others too. Great coffee bar up front too"

"The outside of the hotel is a little deceiving. However, the rooms are wonderful. The beds are very comfortable and clean.! The only complaint I have is that there is no guide on the remote control or on paper for the channels that are on the tv. Cass at the front desk and her husband who works at the gas station were Lifesavers♥️ It's a wide spot in the middle of the road. The 7/11 has a lot of premade sandwiches, salads, and meals. The restaurant at the San Juan Café is great. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner."

"Great place very near to Canyonlands National Park. Extra helpful staff at the front desk. Clean room. Breakfast is too simple for a European - no fried or scrambled eggs, no cold cuts; but other than that I truly recommend the place if your destination is one of the nearby national parks - or just want something more quiet and less pricey than what Moab has to offer."
