Surrounded by a unique set of tufa cellars, adorned with a small garden facing south, it was recently renovated in an artistic spirit. It is ideally placed to discover the Renaissance castles of the Loire - Chenonceau, Amboise, Chaumont are around 15 km away - and the vineyards of Touraine, Montlouis and Vouvray. The Beauval zoo (the first zoo in France, and known for its pandas) is also very close. The banks of the Cher offer many opportunities for walks for pedestrians and cyclists. Description of the house: On the ground floor : \- a furnished living room with a convertible sofa and armchairs around a wood stove. A dining area is located next to the open plan kitchen, which is equipped with a fridge, an electric oven and ceramic hobs, a dishwasher and a washing machine. On the first floor, accessible from the ground floor or from outside: \- A bedroom with a double bed (180 \* 190), storage, velux window \- A bedroom with two single beds (90 \* 190) and a wardrobe. \- A shower room with WC Other equipment: Vacuum cleaner, travel iron and ironing board, hairdryer. A sunny garden with table and garden chair, barbecue. A set of tuffeau cellars. Parking 30 meters away. No television or WiFi but good network. The cottage was just as we expected old rustic and very French just as we like. The bed was very comfortable and within a short walk to the Bakery. After visiting friends and all his old war sites, we spent a week touring the Chateaux of the Loire. It was an amazing experience then and I’ve been waiting 56 years to return. We originally chose Pierre’s cottage for its location and it did not disappoint…in fact it was perfect! We were able to visit 10 chateaux in the week we were there! What a lovely wee cottage and Pierre Joseph Jean Marie was the penultimate host always helpful with advice and recommendations and a full basket of wood for the fire at night. And weren’t those limestone caves at the back of his property amazing? An area so rich with history and beauty. Die Beschreibung und die Bilder passen genau. Einziges kleines Manko ist, dass wir mit unserem großen Auto (Ford Tourneo Custom) die letzten 300 m aufgrund der schmalen Straße zum Haus nur schwierig herangekommen sind und parken konnten.Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter vor Ort (Monsieur Pierre) war wunderbar. Der wildromantische, eingezäunte, private Garten direkt an den Tuffsteinfelsen war ideal für uns alle. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Alles in allem haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Winzerhäuschen und Pierre ist ein sehr höflicher, guter Gastgeber. On retrouve tout ce qu’il faut de vaisselle et de casseroles pour se sentir comme à la maison. Elle est aussi très propre. Les soirées d’hiver au coin du feu étaient très agréables. Le lieu est chargé d’histoire avec ses espaces troglodytes dans le jardin. La localisation est parfaite pour visiter, à moins de 20mn, Beauval, Amboise ou Chenonceau. Le quartier est extrêmement calme. Pierre, notre hôte, est adorable. Il prend le temps de nous expliquer, de prendre des nouvelles pour savoir si nous allons bien, sans être intrusif. Un poêle à bois qui réchauffe les soirées fraîches ne gâche rien . Un accueil du propriétaire chaleureux et très sympathique. Proche du zoo de Beauval et des châteaux.
