Mountain View offers a vista of the Blue Ridge Mountains from the expansive wrap-around deck. In the mornings, grab a cup of coffee and watch as the sun rises over Rainbow Ridge before setting out for the day. Spacious and clean, the cathedral ceilings and large windows in the main living space allow for lots of light. Spend your evenings together, munching on some popcorn, in front of the wood-burning fireplace as you watch a movie on the large smart TV in the living room. Or, battle it out over a game of air hockey or pool in the garage game room. Dine together, either inside at the table with space for eight, or outside on either level of the porch. Grill out on the driveway with the charcoal or gas grill. Equipped with A/C, heat, wifi, and cable television - you'll have everything you need to enjoy your Montreat getaway. With several sleeping spaces, this home will be perfect for your family or group. The master bedroom has access to the back deck and a large ensuite bathroom. Upstairs are two bedrooms - one with a queen, the other with a queen and a twin bunk bed - a recently renovated hall bath, and a small sitting area with a twin sleeper chair. In the basement is a large sleeping area with two twin beds and an en suite bathroom. Additional sleeping space in the living room with the queen sleeper sofa. Located right inside the Montreat gate, it's a short drive to the conference center. This home is a short walk away from the West Ridge and Lower Piney trailheads, moderate connector trails in the Montreat system. House Layout: Main Floor- Den, Hall Bath, Kitchen, Master bedroom with ensuite, Laundry room. Second Floor- Full Hall Bath, Bedroom with a queen, Bedroom with queen and twin bunk beds, small common area. Basement- Bedroom with 2 twins, Full Hall Bath, Game Room in Garage. Please note: This house is dog-friendly, with a $100.00 non-refundable fee per dog (maximum of two). Sorry, this home is not cat-friendly due to common allergies. This home is equipped with a brand-new 26KW Kohler Whole House Backup Generator to ensure guests will not ever be without electricity during their stay. The generator functions quietly and efficiently, coming on automatically within a few seconds whenever power is lost. The owner keeps a vehicle stored in the garage. This home provides sheets and towels for your visit. For your convenience, beds will be made for stays from mid-August through May. We wanted to be close to a variety of hiking trails, mountain streams, and the town of. Black Mountain. The house gave us plenty of room to gather as a group (7) and also lots of lovely spots to curl up quietly with a book. The house is very well stocked and welcoming. ##### Kathy P. The house is well maintained, very comfortable, fully fitted with everything we needed in the kitchen, and the neighborhood/setting was so serene. Sipping our morning coffee on the deck with the view of the mountains and the sound of the birds was how we started each day. We all LOVED it and wished we could have stayed longer. Our family vacationed there for a week. We loved the town of Black Mountain and Montreat!! Wonderful shops and restaurants! The house is an easy 20 minutes drive to downtown Asheville. (We never had any traffic issues going places.) We did some hiking at Mount Mitchell and DuPont State Forest, and visited the Biltmore. Graybeard Rentals were very responsive to any questions we had and made the check in/check out process easy. Mountain View was perfect in everyway! ##### Kimberly Z. There was plenty of room for everyone. The bedding was very comfortable and so pretty. The kitchen was great: plenty of room and lots of cookware for family cooking. The deck was a real favotite with splendid views and nice comfortable chairs for just relaxing. Everything was very clean. I know there were other houses near us, but we were situated so that it seemed we were the only ones for miles. We had the most wonderful time and I truly hope we will be able to return sometime. ##### Robert S. We stayed at the property over MLK weekend and had a great time. The property has a wonderful view during winter, but may be partially occluded during the summer due to leaves on the trees. The house is also located near multiple hiking trails. Check-in was a breeze and the property manager constantly sent emails and reminders about our stay. The house itself is in fantastic shape and if we could give it a half star we’d give it a 4.5\. The only drawbacks was the sleeping situation on the bottom floor and dog hair on the carpet (children would get up off the floor and have dog hair on their clothes). The two twin beds in the basement would be better set up if they had bunkbeds and a larger bed in that room. The sheets and comforters didn’t seem to properly fit. Two of the beds upstairs were firm and the pillows were flat. The kitchen was well-stocked and legibly marked. For the three meals we made, there wasn’t a kitchen item missing that we needed. I hate to be nit picky because it is a wonderful property in a great location. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if the bottom floor had a better bed configuration. ##### Daniel E. It was a perfect set up surrounded by beautiful mountains. The house was clean with all the amenities you could possibly need to enjoy some time at home with family. Beds were comfy, the pool table and air hockey games in the basement were so fun! We enjoyed visiting the shops at Black Mountain and the short drive to Asheville and the Biltmore.
