A lovely venue with a lagoon-type pool area, including goldfish and caged birds. A very nice restaurant with friendly service. The hotel was spotless, easy to get to and very comfortable. Amenities were good and I would only suggest make-up mirrors be provided (we older women need them!)

We spent one night at this property as part of a road trip. The property is nice and the indoor pool area seemed great. Our room was just ok. We could hear guests in other rooms fairly easily which was distracting. The shower was particularly frustrating - I was blasted with cold water and nearly burned by hot water - all without adjusting the tap. The room also had signs of water damage and the shower curtain had a sour smell. If we weren't there simply as a quick stop over I would have asked to be moved.

Thhe property was still getting set up for guests. The indoor pool was not yet open and adjoining suites unavailable. The restaurant staff were amazing, like the coffee. The food still searched for personality, searching to please all left it with little character. That being said we look forward to our next visit to see how the maturing process has enriched this amazing facility.

When I registered I asked for the view of the room and was explicitly told I could not be changed at 'that rate' rate I got through Expedia. I said I did not mind paying extra to have a room with a view but she reminded me again...I ended up with a room with a view on a commercial landfill. I did not mind so much as it was one night stay. We used the pool and the spa. Water in the pool was very fresh (yet again I dont mind but it is usually warmer). Supper: service was professionnel. I got a fish that had a suspicious smell and the waitress picked up my plate saying I would get another type of fish. Meal was ok but not the greatest. Morning was a pain. First I got to the desk trying to tell the young lady I got a receipt for all 3 rooms and wanted to make sure even though my friends paid with their credit card that they got the Expedia Rate. She was not familiar with the system and it took for ever. Lucky I was early and there was no line. Service at breakfast was slow and when I mentioned I got a piece of melon that looked it had been chewed on I was given a lesson on how to use melon by a pretentious young waiter. Even though we managed to have a good time and location was convenient, I would say this hotel is overrated and to look around Montmagny has a few places so....
