We really enjoyed our stay at this house— the setting is perfect for a multi family stay with two separate living areas on each floor. The pond outside was beautiful and so serene. We loved sitting out in the deck in the morning just taking it all in. The house was impeccably clean upon arrival, and we loved that it has a washer and dryer. The check in process was incredibly simple, which we really appreciated because that’s not always the case with vacation rentals. The marina is super close to the house which is really nice and the pool was walking distance!! We would definitely come back to Steve’s place again, highly recommend! Thank you for the memories!

Great little Cottage!

We booked the ginger cottage for 3 nights and it was perfect. Quiet setting, with all the amenities. I highly recommend if your looking for a place that's quiet & relaxing.

Nice place. Enjoyed our trip. Close to the Lake! We have been spoiled from stays in Hocking Hills, OH. None of us was very happy with the beds. My mattress was worn and should be replaced - sank in the middle. Be sure to bring your own dishwasher and laundry soap. Also kitchen garbage bags as only 2 were provided.

Awesome spot!

Weekend getaway

This was the best lil weekend getaway! We had our family and friends there to relax and play. Our boys enjoyed the pond… lots of turtles but we did catch a couple fish. We enjoyed the covered porch during the day and the bon fire pit at night. The volleyball court offered us some unexpected competitive fun between the adults and the teenagers. We had everything we needed at the house and then some. Beautiful hiking nearby too. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Nice place!

Beautiful, quiet and serene

We loved Ginger and would definitely stay again. We originally booked for Christmas 2022 but Donna was still recuperating from surgery and was not able to travel yet. Steve Allen was so gracious to allow us to change our dates for October of this year. Perfect getaway and the gold and red leaves were amazing. Enjoyed the back patio and the lake deck so much!

Beautiful setting and great location

Location and setting was great and the house was very nice. There was issues with the water heater but once that is replaced it’s a nice place to stay and very close to our favorite marina!

Nice little Thanksgiving getaway

We had a very nice time here for Thanksgiving. We were a family of 4 and a dog and the house was comfortable. Just an FYI- My 11 year old said it was very hard to get up and down from the top bunk in the one room.

Nice for a weekend get-away

Quiet and peaceful little community. My husband commented thisbwas the first rental we've stated in that actually felt like a home, and I agree with him. It was very comfortable and well-stocked. The downstairs area has a very convenient layout - I can definitely see how a family would love it here with parents downstairs and kids upstairs.

Fall Break stay at Ginger House

The check in process was easy and the house was very clean when we arrived. Everything was in good working order and the experience was over all excellent. I was a little let down with the fishing in the pond behind the house as between my son and I we only caught one fish (we are both experienced competitive anglers) and were planning to just fish for the fun of it, but the ambiance and beauty of the pond was fantastic and I’m sure the fish that are in there are fairly pressured. I would recommend for anyone attempting to sleep on the pull couches or bunk beds be under the age of 10ish or bring some sort of sleeping cushion or just sleep on the couches with the cushions as my teenagers are a little bigger and weren’t terribly comfortable, but we fully intend to return to location and just bring blow up mattresses for them. All in all it’s a wonderful place and I would recommend it to anyone

Nice stay close to Lake Cumberland.

Very clean well laid out rental. I can’t think of anything we didn’t enjoy. 5 minute drive to Marina where we easily rented a boat. Close enough to restaurants and other things to do. We drove to the Dam and the National Trout hatchery you can fish right there behind the hatchery, plenty of trout. We didn’t catch any fish in the fishing pond but they are definitely in there. I saw a number of bass, bluegills turtles and a large carp. The fishing and boating at Lake Cumberland is excellent. I would rent this unit again if the family wants to come back! Great experience and memories with the family.

Family weekend

Spring Break 2022

Fun weekend meeting grandchildren for Spring Break. Great space and layout for our group. Steve was a wonderful host.. all communication was timely and all went very smoothly! The weather was a bit erratic-we had spring temps, then hail, then cold and sleet the day we left!! We enjoyed the scenic railway tour -quite educational. Had a great lunch at the General Store on our way home! Unfortunately the gift shop nearby was closed.. We would definitely like to come back (later spring or summer to enjoy the outdoor activities) to this beautiful spot in Ky!!

Charming Home

Very charming area and neighborhood. Home was exceptionally clean! I am not sure if there are any fish in the pond, but my son still had fun trying to catch a fish. The weather was not cooperative when we stayed, so we enjoyed the foosball table upstairs.

Needed Nature

My husband, 2 young boys, and myself loved our long weekend here! We are from Cincy so the drive was just far enough for the boys to handle. We got to spend all our time outside, exploring the grounds, having an all day fire, playing in the playground, and visiting Conley Bottom (which is a very very nice Marina BTW). But also inside was so much nicer than the pics! We had so much room, boys loved the games, fireplace was cozy and so was the bed upstairs! We just loved our time so much the boys went around and said goodbye to every room. We'll be back!

A perfect oasis for the girls!

Gingers Chalet was well kept and ready for us. Steve, the owner, lives close by and communicating with him was easy. The house was comfortable for our party of 5 and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space. Between the upstairs deck, back patio and the dock it was hard to decide where to sit a while longer to soak up all the peacefulness On Golden Pond. Thanks for sharing Gingers Chalet! Definitely would recommend 10/10.

Scenic view and fishing from Cabin

The cabin was amazing and the dock on the pond was a big hit with our fishing grandchildren. The weather was not great but we still managed to have an amazing time! Locals are very friendly and helpful

Great Place to Stay

This place was perfect. Clean, Great location, well kept. Having the pond right there was wonderful even if the fish weren't biting during our stay! There are actually 4 decks to hang out on which all offer something different. The only thing I would say wasn't completely accurate was the 3rd bedroom with the bunk beds is really a walk-in closet with the bunk beds put in. It worked for us but it's not really a bedroom, but rather a place to sleep for 2. The resort has a tennis court, basketball hoop, nice pool and a playground. It was nice to have that available. Property very close to Lake Cumberland Steve was great. Checked in on us and property.

Ginger chalet

Terrific and beautiful location. Peaceful. I would have liked a little more communication from the office staff - maybe a more friendly welcome. I was surprised that some things were not better stocked like papertowels - had about 6, ran out, looked for more. Could have called the office if it were a big deal.

Adorable house on picturesque pond

Perfect for a family getaway — playing games, wood burning fireplace , good wifi and tv, foosball. Nice community facilities. We enjoyed the tennis court. 2 comfortable living rooms. Master bed was very comfortable and gorgeous view of pond. Great private deck off of it. 2nd bed was sizeable and comfortable. the 3rd bedroom was not great as it was a bunk bed. Would rather it be a regular bed but it was stil fine.

Fall Stay

The property met our expectations with the exception of the adjacent "lake" which is really more of a pond. In addition I would not plan counting on the pond to supply any fish for supper. Otherwise we enjoyed our visit and plan to rent again next fall.

Relaxing! That is why we rented this place! The place is very nice and clean. Had a bonfire with S’more at night. Only down side there is very few fish in the pond. Other than that fact it is a great place to stay!

The house was beautiful and fully furnished. We enjoyed our time there. The beds were not quite what we needed for three grown men and one teen, but we made it work. It's best for couples with children. The location was near the marina which made it easy to fishing! I would definitely recommend for a couple of families with children.

Wonderful place

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful and bed was very comfortable. Fishing off the dock was great . Nice and quiet and the pool was great. Stores about 10 minutes from the house. Very clean . Everything you need was there.
