Cutest Cottage Ever
This was our 4th stay at The Cottage, and we ALWAYS love it. Cozy and convenient to Montevallo with all the amenities including full kitchen and washer/dryer. The setting is idyllic and the bed is very comfortable. Sleep well and wake up to the birds and beautiful sounds of nature.

Christmas Day check in
It was an unexpected sweet little efficient place. We happened to come right after a storm. The owner was very accommodating even with us arriving a little early. There was a small fire pit outside. We collected as much debris from the storm and kept a nice fire going. It was a nice respite for us. Many kudos to the owners!

Perfect Little Spot
We were in town for a softball tournament. The cottage was perfect location and had everything we needed and more. The animals were so fun and it was a nice touch to be able to say Good Morning to them before leaving for ball. Great spot!

The property is beautiful and the cottage is awesome! Our son is at the University of Alabama which is an hour away, it’s perfect for our trips to visit the school. So quiet and peaceful!! Loved it!

Great get away
This place was great! Very comfortable, cute, peaceful and convenient to town. We enjoyed eating breakfast out on the picnic table, while watching a momma deer and her two spotted babies playing in the field. Owners were very responsive to any and all questions we had.

Cozy Cottage
This adorable cottage was very charming and a peaceful retreat. The sheep and miniature donkey were a definite bonus! Stewart provided a list of restaurants and local highlights which was very helpful. A great getaway!

Quiet getaway
My husband and I were looking for a quiet getaway for the two of us when I found this property. We were in town for a graduation. This cabin was absolutely perfect for us! Close to shopping food and some really great places to see! I definitely plan to visit again soon!

Really neat property and place, our hosts were were very hospitable. The goats and sheep were a pleasant sound to wake up to. I would definitely return if in the area again, the property and unit were well appointed with charming furnishings and art.

We have stayed at this location twice and we will be back. We enjoy all of their properties. This one in particular has an amazing scenic view with rolling hills and a few livestock.

Blissful Get-a-away
If you are looking for a quiet place to escape a few days but still be close to everything this property is it! Nothing like sitting on the porch, drinking coffee in the mornings while watching the natural beauty of land. I am already ready to go back.

Beautiful views!
We, hubby, grandson, and I enjoyed our stay at “the cottage.” It was a safe place w/beautiful scenery. The bed was comfy, kitchen was fully stocked, and the coffee bar was nice addition since we all enjoy a “cup of brew.” Also, it was close proximity to Calera, Jemison, and Thorsby. We’ll definitely stay here again.

This cottage was so cute and comfortable. I was working remotely when I rented it and it fit all of my needs. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed, and interacting with the sheep in the lambs in the donkeys each morning was really heart warming. Highly recommend this place.

This is my third time staying at The Cottage. My son attends the university in Montevallo, so I visit a couple of times a year. I will ALWAYS look to see if one of Stewart’s properties are available. The cottage is great for two. Very comfortable. The window AC is enough for the hot summers and the space heaters are perfect for the cold nights and days in winter. The property is lovely and in a great location.

Lovely idyllic get-away
We LOVE the classic VRBO experience: gracious involved hosts, classy funky much-loved properties, and fresh eggs, and delicious (!) ice cream in the freezer. This is the perfect place to stay as a retreat into nature: the sheep, the birds, the summer breeze. The little guest house is cozy, and opens onto a pasture and an expansive tree-lined view with a pond nestled in the rolling farm-land. The landscaping is classy and natural, and the pool... the pool. It was perfect for a lazy afternoon dip. We enjoyed singing on the porch as a rain shower passed. We enjoyed time in the hammock slung under the walnut trees. We enjoyed our lengthy walks along the Montevallo trails. We enjoyed our brief interactions with Stuart, the gracious host. We enjoyed the convenient yet isolated access to Birmingham for our outing there. We'll be back, and we could not recommend this place more highly. Thank you!

Quiet and peaceful
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The home is perfect for couples and the pool was absolutely amazing. Stewart goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have the best experience possible.
