"Our group of 14 said this was the best trips we've ever had as a family, if not the best! When my husband and I travel solo, we enjoy resorts with exceptional service- such as Rosewood or the Four Seasons- and Villa Buena Onda exceeded our expectations. In a private rental you usually don't get the same level of service as you do at a resort (nor do I expect it). However, Villa Buena Onda provides a full service experienceFrom before booking to check out, Charlie was amazing! He replied promptly with detail to my questions (I had a lot)On a day to day basis, we had Samuel, Ashley &Nela on staff. Nela made delicious meals every day and was so sweet to make a cake for one of our guest's birthday. Ashley & Samuel took care of anything we needed during the day. A few went deep sea fishing. Samuel offered to clean the fish and then staff prepared it for lunch for us (even though we did not have lunch included in our meal plan- more on that later- and expected to clean the fish ourselves).The villa was gorgeous. Rooms were comfortable & well stocked.The grounds and outdoor setup provide your own private oasis. The covered lounge area with fans made it pleasant to sit outside all day by the pool. The spa is a nice touch and recommended. I recommend adding the full bar to the meal plan. We opted NOT to do it because there were a couple people in our group who don't drink, but in hindsight it would have been easier and well worth it. I highly recommend Villa Buena Onda!"

"Our second outstanding stay at el mirador. The penthouse is a wonderful retreat and stay. The beach club and new second pool was a greatlil oaisis. The new second pool could benefit from some shade as it is toasty. I think the structure is there for thay just not roofed or thatched yet.Check in was easy and smooth, gatedaccess provides piece of mind,easy walk DOWN to town and shoos. However as all reviews to get to the top she is a steep climb so be prepared, car required which for us is standard in CR"
