"We were warmly welcomed at this property. We could tell the owners take special care in small details to provide a delightful experience for their guests. They went out of their way to help us find a place to eat dinner since we visited during the end of the season and most restaurants were closed. The breakfast was lovely, and we enjoyed the company of the dogs and the local cat. Our room was beautiful, the decor top notch. You will be delighted to stay here."

"Unfortunately our stay was disappointing. On the advert it said dogs allowed but when we arrived we weren’t given the room advertised as there was a carpet on the floor. We were taken to an outside room which was very tired and old fashioned. We only stayed one night although booked for two. Probably much better in summer. The breakfast was very good but the dining room smelt very musty. Madame was very sweet - the hotel had been run by her parents for thirty years. It needs a little updating"

"We were there one night and I wish we could have spent more time there. The room is private and conveniently located--plus, it's pretty, comfortable, and brand new. Breakfast was delicious. The host was welcoming, helpful, and very nice. We would stay there again."

"La maison et ses lieux sortent d’un livre d’histoire. Les propriétaires sont sympa et nous ont accueilli à bras ouverts malgré notre réservation dernière-minute. Chambre au décor charmant et lit bien comfortable. Ils nous ont réservé une table au restaurant voisinant pour le dîner et ont recommandé des superbes lieux à explorer dans cette région enchantée. "The owners, Thierry and Anne-Marie, we two of the nicest people we have ever met in our entire lives. They always did everything possible to make sure our stay was extraordinary. They always worked so hard in every way possible to be sure that our stay was enjoyable!! "This is a good property in the heart of the historic district of Sarlat. We had great support from Valentin and Clois when we were there. The room was in the attic with a small kitchenette, which we used for breakfast 2 of the days that we were there. We needed a property with a garage and booked one with them. What we did not realize that this was a several minute walk from the property itself. There also was no convenient place to bring up the car to unload luggage since there was a fair going...

"Overall experience of the property: - Owners friendly, with a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival - Fantastic pool and a lovely garden - Superb location to visit all of the key areas / sights within the Dordogne Few points to note: - The stairs in the property are very steep, therefore, not suitable for young children or the elderly - The wifi didn't work very well and was intermittent - not a deal breaker but useful to have - Very hot upstairs as no fans or a/c - again not a deal breaker...
