The gardens and orchards are tended without the use of any chemicals as encouraging biodiversity is a priority. Maison Ruth has been sympathetically restored, using traditional methods and materials to evoke the period when it was built but incorporates modern comforts. Downstairs there is the fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer and the usual kitchen accoutrements, the dining room leads off the kitchen. The twin reception room is triple aspect, light, airy and comfortable. Double doors from each end of the hallway that bisects the ground floor give direct access to the gardens. Upstairs are the three bedrooms, bathroom and shower - the furniture is original - antique and vintage - and has been restored by us. Each bedroom has a period 150cm original upholstered bed with sprung sommier and mattress. The patinated original 18th Century copper Saracen bath was originally in a chateau in the Loire and, for those who prefer, there is a separate shower room that features a roll-out bidet! ## Property amenities ### Internet - Le propriétaire est un homme charmant, très avenant, serviable. La maison, tout a fait XIXeme siècle bourgeois, est charmante et bénéficie d'une vue panoramique sur les vallons coté sud et dégagée sur les trois autres facades. Le village-hameau situé dans le boccage profond est très calme, rythmé par le clocher de l'église située en son centre. Very peaceful except for an odd tractor going by. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding and drapes in each of the upstairs bedrooms were lovely. Excellent views of the countryside. Man kann sich hier im Haus oder im großen Garten wunderbar erholen. Interessante Städte und andere Sehenswürdigkeiten lassen sich mit dem Auto gut erreichen. Wir wurden mit frischen Backwaren und Lebensmittel wie Butter, Milch,Käse und paar Getränken empfangen. Das hat uns das Abendessen und sogar noch das Frühstück erleichtert.
