Fabulously roomy gite very close to St Emilion!
Well designed and fully equipped 2-bedroom gite set in vineyards within 5 minutes drive of St Emilion and surrounding wineries. The peace and tranquility of the setting is delightful, with all you need for your stay in the two-storey farmhouse. Access to the many good restaurants and historic monuments in St Emilion made this 5-day stay one of our highlights.

Beautiful, well located Gite in amongst the vines
Lovely stay, with great host who went out of their way to check all was ok with our stay. Little touches like a personalised note and wine was so nice. The location of this property is not only beautiful but very well located, waking up amongst the vines and watching the sun set from the terrace … perfect

Lovely gite, fantastic location
We had a lovely week’s holiday in la Gîte de Lys at the beginning of Aug 22. Set on a vineyard in a rural idyllic location the Gîte is well equipped, very clean and the location is beautiful. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We really enjoyed the bottle of wine that they gave us, it is a very rare treat to drink a glass of wine standing amongst the vines from where it came. St Emilion is just 5mins drive away and we enjoyed our sunset strolls and ate well in the restaurants. We visited Bergerac, Marmande and enjoyed the French markets at Castillon le Bataille and Libourne. We also visited Bordeaux which is only 40mins away. We spent time at le Lac de Gurson where we enjoyed swimming and also walking amongst the pines. There is also free canoeing, volleyball and a beach. It is very well set up, very clean and with changing rooms and a good cafe. Worth a visit, not busy at all and we went in the peak of summer. We really enjoyed our stay at the Gîte and will remember this special area fondly. Thank you to our hosts for their hospitality.

Delightful stay, excellent and unforgettable experience
The gîte de Lys offers an ideal harmony with tradition and modern living destination perfect for enjoying a quiet holiday in the middle of a sea of vineyards. But the most important is the unique welcoming ambiance that Nicole and her family create to ensure an unforgettable stay. Awesome hosts and wine producer, I will highly recommend trying their own label wine from 2016. Gladly recommended!

Peaceful retreat 10 mins from St Emilion
Lovely setting overlooking vines. Nice bedrooms - large and airy. All very clean. Attractive dining area with French doors out on to patio. 40 mins drive from Bordeaux and perfect for wine-tasting action! Tourist office in St Emilion very helpful.

A beautiful location set amongst the vineyards
We enjoyed a fantastic (and very hot!) week in this lovely property in the heart of the vineyard. Such a clean and tidy gîte with a lovely cool interior, and beautiful views across the pretty garden. Nicole and Alain were very welcoming and kind hosts, nothing was too much trouble for them, yet we still enjoyed 100% privacy. The kitchen and bathroom were exceptionally well equipped, and as a group of three adults we were really well suited. The gîte is a short drive away from Saint Emilion with all its attractions, also the pretty village of Montagne with some shops, restaurants etc. We enjoyed local trips and walks, and found it easily possible to visit Bordeaux, also thé Dordogne région is accessible though perhaps a little far. All in all we had a great week and are happy to recommend this lovely corner of France and a traditional gîte which stayed cool in the hot weather. Thank you Nicole and Alain. ,

Beautiful scenery
We had a very pleasant stay at the gite. We loved the surroundings and it was so quiet. The house has everything for a family. Nicole was very nice and she made us feel at home.

Excellent séjour au coeur du vignoble !
Nous avons passé une semaine extrêmement agréable dans cette maison de charme spacieuse et très bien équipée, idéalement située pour découvrir Saint-Emilion et sa région ! Le jardin est plaisant et également bien équipé, avec de nombreux jeux pour les enfants. Merci à notre hôtesse pour son sympathique accueil !

Au cœur des vignes
Gîte très bien situé et entretenu avec tout le confort. Idéal pour les familles ou 2 couples. Suggestion d'amélioration éventuelle :prévoir un porte manteau ou une parterre. Des lits jumeaux au lieu d'un double lit dans une des 2 chambres serait pratique. Mais ce sont des détails car le gîte est vraiment bien équipé. Les propriétaires sont charmants. Dommage que la location transite via Abritel qui prend beaucoup de frais sans vraiment offrir un plus au locataire,

Tranquillité, panorama et gentillesse
Jolie maison très propre et décorée avec soin dans un cadre magnifique aux milieux des vignes . Beaucoup de balades à faire et de jolies visites de villages ainsi que de caves prestigieuses. Je recommande .

Maison très calme entre les vignes et très propre
Cette maison isolée dans le vignoble est très proche de Saint-Emilion. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par la propriétaire. La maison est très propre et très confortable même si les meubles de cuisine pourraient être modernisés.

Si on veut passé des vacances vraiment tranquille sans bruit à pars les tracteurs qui s occupe des vignes ce coin est fait pour ca Manque juste une piscine

Très beau séjour
Nous recommandons ce gite qui est spacieux et avec toutes les commodités. Famille très sympathique. Très bien situé près du centre de Saint Emilion et au calme avec vue sur les vignes.

Super séjour entre amis
Belle propriété au milieu des vignes. Endroit très calme mais à proximité de Saint-Emilion et de Libourne. Possibilité d'excursions à la journée vers le Bassin d'Arcachon, la vallée de la Dordogne... Accueil très sympathique de Nicole et de son mari vigneron avec lequel nous avons pu échangé sur son beau métier. On vous recommande le vin de la propriété un très bon Montagne Saint-Emilion ! Un seul regret : nous sommes repartis juste avant les vendanges ...

Très bonnes vacances en famille avec nos 3 enfants. Le gîte offre une belle vue sur les vignes. Il est situé idéalement pour visiter la région de St Emilion et son vignoble.

Sehr angenehmer Urlaub
Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen! Das Haus bietet jeden Komfort, ist bestens ausgerüstet und lädt auch bei grosser Hitze dank dicker Mauern zum angenehmen Verweilen ein. Wir haben viele Radtouren in der näheren und entfernteren Umgebung unternommen. Zudem hat uns das Jazz Festival begeistert, aber auch eine hübsche Zugfahrt nach Bordeaux (Base Maritime ist ein Geheimtip - wenigstens mit der Ausstellung 2018 - Street Art). Sehr angenehm war auch der Kontakt mit Herrn und Frau Rospars. Für mich unvergesslich die Zeit, in welcher Herr Rospars mir mit sehr viel Liebe und Herzblut seinen Betrieb gezeigt hat. Ich habe viel erfahren über den Weinbau in der Region. St.Emillion ist eine sehr edle Region, die uns dank ihrer wechselhaften Geschichte sehr beeindruckt hat. Das Haus ist ohne Vorbehalte sehr zu empfehlen!

Séjour plaisir!
Séjour très agréable, au calme, dans les vignes. Gîte confortable et spacieux. Espace repas à l'extérieur à l'ombre d'un acacia. Petit commerce rural à St Christophe des Bardes avec produits de qualité (Pain, charcuterie, boucherie...) le gérant est un ancien traiteur. La gare de St Emilion est bien pratique pour aller visiter Bordeaux (40mn)...Accueil agréable des propriétaires avec possibilité d'échanger sur le métier de vigneron mais aussi sur la vie en aquitaine...
