As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful.
The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Pleasant hotel but, sadly, not the standard you would expect from a 4 * hotel. Our superior room had a bathroom door that was completely rotted and although this was pointed out to the staff they did nothing about it. The bathroom also had a smell and chipped tiles. We had 2 meals at dinner and the food was excellent! Handy location for the airport which was not too far away. Although it was situated in a not particularly attractive area the car park was locked and monitored so your car was safe.

Just like the pictures. Our jr suite opened up to two loungers 8ft from the vines

Pool and accommodation tired
"Sadly the pool was is need of substantial repair. The cracked slabs and crumbling cement around the pool was dangerous for bare feet and attracted wasps to nest. Not ideal for young children and babies. There was a constant bad smell in the kitchen due to drainage problems in the area of the sink. ..."
