It’s also in a great location near wineries and some beautiful hikes.Just a heads-up: the cabin is at the end of a pretty rough dirt road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride in. We enjoyed our stay. Well stocked kitchen and appliances. Great deck and back yard. Too hot for both fire and sauna, but nice amenity. Convenient location to WPt (30 min). Road to get to cabin is not for the faint of heart or the bottom of the car. Take it slow, but you will scrap. Window AC and fans were helpful as well as shade trees, we had 94 degrees days but cabin felt comfortable. Board games available to play which we enjoyed. TV was usable with our own subscriptions, but volume of TV issues. We are used to well water, taste and smell, but for those that are not may be of putting. The neighborhood isn't a typical scene for me, but the place was super quiet and had everything we needed for our short stay. The sauna was a hit, and there was plenty of space to fit everyone in. The Cabin is very unique and has some interesting design concepts. There's a nice little lawn and fire pit which was perfect for the evening time. Obviously very thoughtful hosts. There is also a nice fire pit and sauna in the back yard and a large outdoor patio and grill for outdoor relaxation and entertainment. They even provide a bluetooth stereo with indoor/outdoor speaker options. The location is fantastic for hiking or exploring the Storm King Arts Center. It was five miles to our trailhead and five miles to Storm King. Really, it couldn't have been more convenient. Highly recommended and I feel pretty sure we'll be back, to spend more time exploring all that the area offers. ##### Marc T. This cabin had plenty of room for the three of us. The floor plan was open, which was nice. The beds are comfy, and there are several useful amenities of which to take note. These included fresh towels for the bathroom and sauna, shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the bathroom, plenty of board games to keep you occupied, and a functioning T.V. I have to say our favorite amenity has to be the sauna. It's quite roomy inside and it gained heat quickly when the night got cold. We did have some trouble heating the cabin at first. However, our host was extremely attentive and stayed in close contact with us about this to provide multiple solutions. There is a spacious backyard with a large patio sporting an outdoor table and relaxation area.The cabin is decorated adorably and the host is super sweet! I would recommend this cabin to those who are looking for a home away from home vibe. ##### Piper W. Really cozy, rustic,spacious and comfortable. We ended up staying in and going out about the same just because it felt relaxing inside and we wanted to explore nearby. We explored the Black rock trail as well as the Orange heritage trail both less than 20min away. We ended up outside by the firepit at night gazing at the stars for what seemed to be hours. 1 night was definitely not enough to enjoy everything and we will be coming back soon! This place feels like homeaway from home now and is on the top of our list when we get another weekend off. Those host Adderlyn was great and answered all of our questions in a timely manner as well as welcoming. Everything was clean and organized. The odor upon entering the house was very unpleasant . Seems like it was closed up all winter, (musty) there was a dehumidifier running I'massuming to combat the moisture/odor). I had to wash our clothing twice upon getting home due to the odor in the house. There was an issue with the heat(owner contacted) as well, there were back up methods that were sufficient. There was also an issue with the breakers popping, easily rectified with communication of the home owner. The houses were very close together so not much privacy. The road to the house is very bumpy as described in the listing so beware. Thankful we had a truck to access the house. My kids enjoyed the sauna and we used the charcoal grill as well.(everything supplied) We didn't get an opportunity to use the firepit due to the wind but a nice little area. Cleanliness could have been better as there were cobwebs in an area in the dining area and debris under/in the furniture. The sauna could have used sweeping out as well. The yard could have used some maintenance as well(long grass and branches along the fence line, unappealing) Like I mentioned in the beginning, good place for a short stay. ##### Angelia B. Parking is VERY tight for more than one car and the neighbors were clearly annoyed about having a rental nearby. The road getting there was quite rough, our van scraped on the bottom a few times, but the property itself was great. The only problem is the road at Higgins Trail is an open road , many potholes and stones so that is a problem getting in and out if you need to go out a few times in a day. ##### jorge l.
