The Tanoa was a complete hidden gem. We booked this stay for a single night before we fly home from Fiji and we regretted not booking with them a few days longer. The bar was a very lively spot at night and had amazing cocktails made by the Great Filamoni!!! He was so fun and witty and kept great company.
Our dinner was absolutely fantastic and we felt very well catered to by our host Saiasi. He was great at anticipating our needs and was ready to help immediately! He was one of the best hosts we have experienced.
We booked one of the suite rooms and it was massive inside. It kind of has a vintage 80's Scarface Luxury vibe to the room, but everything was very well taken care of and extremely clean. We were blown away at how great the whole experience was! We will be back to Fiji in a few years for our anniversary and we will definitely be booking with the Tanoa again!!!

Sadly the reality of this resort was not quite what was promised when booking. Major plumbing issues causing bad smells and water off or limited pressure for over 2 days of our stay. While we thought there were 2-3 dining options there was only 1 restaurant and 1 menu. Also limited places to take a decent walk and communication overall was poor. We were unaware of significant renovations occurring on the resort and felt that there was not enough acknowledgement of the impact this had on a hard saved for holiday.
Would definitely not go back and would not recommend

"Expedia is the issue. Cost me a ton of money as service back to airport didn’t come on the right day because Expedia is incompetent. Called 4 times to get it right and still wrong. Never book a package deal with Expedia. They can not handle any issue correctly. I am done with them for life"
