The room was dirty with pills and pubes on the floor. The pool was empty and had teared down walls. We booked it specifically for the pool so that was a let down. Otherwise, good views with big windows, very hard beds, nice little lounge area on the roof top, except for the pool. 10 min walk to the station.

It’s new!! Got a nice view of the sunset & water! Just enjoyed the view fm my room, awesome!! Friendly & helpful staffs! Walkable to garden at the top where “the boy Kim Dae-Jung study room is at. Great for sunset/sunrise watching as well… 10mins walk to coastal ferry. Visit Docho to see Hydrangeas garden etc. worth the time & $$. Enjoy Mokpo & the islands!!

NEW (2024), comfy and clean! Excellent hotel AAAA+

Chose a one night stay here to catch the train the following day. The hotel looks almost brand new and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was ample and delicious. Very comfortable and well appointed with a spotless room and comfy bed. Highly recommended when budgeting a trip to Mokpo over the higher priced nearby and older options. There is a convenience store in the building, a traditional fish market next door and a fishing port across the street with lovely views of the water. The hotel also offered coin laundry service which I used. I’d definitely stay here again.

Good location to connect and if you have a plan to visit the Haenam (to the South End point of Korean peninsula). Intercity bus service can take you to the South End point.

This hotel is so strict with the check in time yet, when I did checked in, I found a used cigarette bud next to the bed. It is written as it offers ocean view, but it is more like a port view. The area is filled with fish markets and sort of out of the way, I do not suggest this hotel for your stay in Mokpo. Not worth the price.
