"This house is an amazing experience. The property is on a beautiful Caye just off the main pier of Placencia. Edwin the caretaker and family are delightful, super responsive to any request (including ferrying to and fro to the village), and their young puppy Odi is gorgeous!The house is stunning with private dock (great for swimming), SUPs and canoes. The living spaces are incredible - fantastic high vaulted ceilings, great kitchen, spacious outdoor balconies and incredible views over the water. Heading back to the house on the moonlit water after an evening out in Placencia is a wonderful experience. Very highly recommended!!"

"Very easy accommodations; the caretakers (Ruben and Maritsa who live on the property) make everything so easy. The kitchen is well appointed. Everything was clean and neat. Maritsa cleans regularly during the stay. Mini-split ACs in each room were essential. Two bedrooms are separate and can only get to the main part of the house by walking outside. We asked Ruben to cook for us one night; it was absolutely delicious! Make sure to have his chocolate cake! Martisa will ask what foods you want and let you know the dinner cost afterwards. They both are wonderful. They have 2 well behaved dogs that roam around The Rotunda (gated) property and will hang out with you when you're outside. We enjoyed the screen porch and the pool the most. Ruben had a rental golf cart ready for us that we used to go into the village daily for groceries or meals. Mings was the best grocery store. Be sure to carry your driver's license with you when driving the golf cart and recommend avoiding village police check-stop. Recommend water shoes for ocean swimming at the house (and cave tubing). The sand is coarse. The beautiful beaches and sand are offshore at the snorkeling islands. Ruben can arrange private tours with a local person as your guide and driver. We did 2 full days - Myan ruins, cave tubing, and snorkeling: 2100 US/4 people. Recommend flying between BZE airport and Placencia airport instead of a shuttle for both ways. You'll see the country if you travel for excursions."

"My husband and I visited in January 2026 and had the most AMAZING and memorable honeymoon. The staff was wonderful and so helpful from the time we booked until the day we left. Every single person we encountered was kind, welcoming, and helpful. The people who picked us up from the airport (our flight got in a couple of hours early) came within 10 minutes to pick us up early after we called and they offered us a local beer (or water). We were welcomed at the property with a glass of champagne and warm smiles. Every excursion we requested was booked for us and confirmed the day before so we knew where to go and when we would be picked up. They offered recommendations any time we asked and even helped to rent us a golf cart for a day. Oh and they got us VIP service when we went to The Yatch Club for drinks and appetizers our last night. Every night we were greeted with a special note. The spa upstairs and restaurant as well as the poolside bar were all incredible. The property was clean and well kept. They had a water dispenser with filtered water. I loved the soap, shampoo and conditioner. The rooms were beautiful with amazing views of the sea. The location couldn’t have been better. We could walk to everything. The Ellysian really made a long lasting impression on us and we will be forever grateful for all they did to make our honeymoon unforgettable.
