The best time to visit Mkwaja is during the dry season, which runs from June to October.During these months, the weather is generally sunny with cooler temperatures and lower humidity, making it ideal for wildlife viewing and outdoor activities. The vegetation is less dense, and animals tend to congregate around water sources, which makes them easier to spot. This period also coincides with the Great Migration in the Serengeti, offering a chance to combine your Mkwaja trip with this spectacular event.Another good time to visit is during the short dry season in January and February. While it can be hotter, the wildlife viewing is still excellent, and there are fewer tourists compared to the peak dry season. This can be a good option for couples looking for a more private experience. However, if you're interested in birdwatching, the short rainy season from November to December and the long rainy season from March to May are excellent.
