Lacking some basic amenities in the kitchen. There are over 60 glasses taking up all of the cupboard space! It was bigger than most in the Sandestin neighborhoods. The couch was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable to sit on - also has a big sticky substance in the middle like it was ripped and they glued it back together. The only internet available is for the whole Beachwalk Villa neighborhood, so we had trouble with that. The golf cart was great except that it was rusty and my son was holding on to the handle as we were riding and the whole handle came off. The upstairs floor and stairway creaks like crazy. Feels like it could give in any second. The master bedroom is upstairs, so not waking up the kids in the morning was near impossible if you wanted to come downstairs and get a cup of coffee before they woke up. The master bedroom bed was extremely soft. The outside patio had a great view but you were literally right on top of someone else who might be sitting on their patio. Awkward. The master bath needs some TLC and a good coat of paint. Would not stay here again unless it was crazy cheap. We love the Sandestin area and have stayed on the other side of Hwy 98 many times. Thought we would try the other side for a change. This was not the place to stay. I understand it's a delicate balance....with so many renters its hard to keep things nice, but it seems as if they didn't start with quality. In addition, most of the places we have stayed in had a few things like salt & pepper, coffee filters, etc. This rental requires you empty out everything so we arrived and only had one trash bag, one bag of dishwasher soap, detergent for one load of laundry, one paper towel roll and very little toilet paper. We weren't expecting that the condo would come with everything we need obviously, but typically you'll find a few staples people leave behind. I had ordered groceries for pickup at the Walmart on 98\. I had to add to my order 4 times before I picked it up so that we would have enough toilet paper, towels, etc for the whole week. It was a disappointing experience for the amount of money we paid to stay here. ##### Pam E. The couch in the living room is uncomfortable to sit on and could be replaced as well as the non reclining chairs but the BIGGEST issue was the air conditioning. It was 76 in the room when we arrived and turning it to 72 and getting it to 72 took all night. When it heated up the next day, the room ended up being 77 WITH the ac running non stop. Maint was called and came twice but nothing was done. I know this isn't normal because 2 other villas rented by my family were kept at 69 and 70 degrees the ENTIRE stay and ours struggled to get below 72 and the upper bedrooms were warm and uncomfortable to sleep in. I'm sorry, but as much as we paid for the stay, I feel like we should have been compensated some for the issue. 2 of our kids stayed down the lane with grandparents a couple nights because it was uncomfortably warm in the bedrooms. Little to no air flow from vents and all we were offered was 2 box fans and one had a broken blade and jumped around if turned on high. Get the ac repaired and it would be a great place to stay again. ##### sean j. It’s a beautiful gated community and we love the convenience of having a personal golf cart to take us to the beach and the little shopping center. There were some things I think need to be addressed for a better stay though. The carpet was very worn and dirty looking, the master bedroom fan had a loose blade and it shook bad so we couldn’t use it, the subfloors creeked really bad upstairs, and the beach supplies were half broken or corroded so we could not use them. Other than those things it was clean, everything else worked great and the golf cart was super nice, plus there were shuttle passes even though we never used them it was a nice added feature. We will continue to stay at beach walk villas in the future. Oh and something that would be really nice is a designated parking spot for each condo and golf cart that’s clearly marked. The two times we have stayed someone else has taken our only parking spot and that’s very annoying. Just a suggestion though. ##### Candice B. Reviewer Comments: I have stayed through My Vacation Haven 3 times now. All the homes have been great but this one wasn’t the best. Love where the Beachwalk Villas are located! Golf cart was very nice! This villa was okay. It could use some updating on furniture the downstairs bedroom dresser needs to be fixed or replaced and it wouldn’t hurt to put full size beds in there. Also the entrance was covered in cob webs, dirt and mildew. The widows at entrance you couldn’t even see through because they are so dirty. So I was a little worried what the inside looked like but it ended up being okay. The back porch was the same way but the sliding doors and trim were so nasty. Maybe pressure wash would help. The beach closet- if you are going to have stuff for vacationers to use please make sure it isn’t broken. Half the toys were broken, and the chairs we were only able to use 2\. 1 was broken and the seams on the other were barely holding together. I have pictures if you would like them emailed to you of the outside. But overall we still had a great vacation. Location good. Cleanliness was very good. Door code does not open until exactly 4:00 p.m. for check-in, however cleaning crew was already there at 9:45 am, prior to the 10:00 am check-out. Golf Cart drivers side head light was not working, had a little bit of a run around trying to get this fixed. I had to place 3 calls to finally get this taken care of. Also we were told when we were driving the golf cart, someone stopped us to tell us the battery was about to fall thru, the bottom appears rusted out. We found this intersecting considering we got an e-mail saying a Full Golf Cart Inspection was done., prior to our arrival. The beach closet at the villa was exostocked, even a couple of coolers.
