Enjoy lake views and spot wildlife from the deck, the firepit, or get out on the lake with the 2 canoes, 4 kayaks and 4 paddle boards provided. Close to it all, the home is only 9 mins to St. Paul, 21 mins to Minneapolis, and 13 mins to MSP and MOA. Other Things to Note: Important Note: Before booking this beautiful lake home retreat, please ensure you have read our simple and straightforward house guidelines on this page and throughout the listing. There is direct access to the lake from the property with a dock. While swimming and fishing in the lake is not recommended, people have done it before if they're feeling adventurous or overly optimistic about fish. The water is shallow so the actively growing aquatic plants in the water usually reach the surface especially from May through August. Motorized boats are not allowed on the lake so please enjoy the peace and tranquility. There are 2 canoes, 4 kayaks, and 4 paddle boards available for your use to go exploring around the lake. If you come during the summer months, you will find a beautiful section of lily pads with the most amazing flowers. This modern lake home has been totally remodeled to provide all the creature comforts of home while allowing you to take in all the sights and sounds that nature has to offer. You may even see one of the resident bald eagles! The house provides a great opportunity to get away from the pressures of life for either a couple of days or for a week or more. The location is perfect as it's so close to the Minneapolis (20 min) and St. Paul (10 min) yet secluded enough that you would never know it. The house has 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. Check in time is 3 PM and check out time is 10 AM. For your reservation, the reservation fee includes 4 guests and each additional person, even if just stopping by and not staying overnight, is an additional charge which is calculated when you finalize your reservation. The current additional charge is $30 per guest per day. I encourage you to purchase travel insurance so that in the unlikely yet possible event that something happens and you need to cancel your trip after the refund deadline, you can receive some of your costs back for eligible cancellations. If I find any evidence that smoking took place in the house, the fee is $1500\. Additionally, if you have extra guests that were not included in your reservation, you will be charged for that as well. Lastly, if I learn of these or other situations during your stay, your reservation is subject to immediate cancellation with no refund. I request a $1500 security deposit is to ensure the House Rules are followed. To pay the security deposit, I make a Money Request through the website and, after your stay, the security deposit is refunded through the website within 3 days if there are no issues. As neighbors are close by and expect to enjoy their home in peace and quiet, if your group becomes so loud or disruptive that the neighbors feel that they need to call me or the police about it during or after your stay, there will be a damage claim of up to $1500 to be deducted from your security deposit. Additionally, your group may be asked to leave at whatever time this occurs and there would be no refund of what you have paid to complete your stay. As you expect peace and quiet at your home when you are there, please extend the same courtesy to my neighbors so that I can continue to offer this great home to others such as yourselves. After you reserve the property, you will be provided the location of the house. Based on a few previous guests who have caused problems, I will need a list of names of anyone who will be on the property at any time during your stay, even if they are just stopping by. Each person is considered a guest for fee calculation purposes. Thanks for understanding. Please note that there may be security cameras that face the entrances of the house, NOT on the inside. There is a limit of 40 guests during the day (a guest is any person on the property even if not staying overnight and just stopping by for a short time) and a limit of 32 overnight guests. It was immaculately clean, the beds were so comfy, and the kitchen fully equipped. They even left us s'mores kits for the fire pit, which was such a nice touch. It had so much space for all our gatherings. The yard was huge with tons of space for the kids to play. I loved that the two balconies connected giving us space to enlarge the outdoor group space by shifting furniture. The lake, however, is very urban with tons of reeds, green foamy growth and very shallow and mucky. It was fun to take out canoes but definitely wouldn't paddle board as I wouldn't want any of that water on me. ##### Briana W. Beds were comfy and the units had everything we needed. My concern is with the listing which misrepresented the number of guests for the price. Every guest more than four adds an additional daily charge. Since the listing says sleeps 28 I thought it meant the price was for up to 28 people. And no one can come to visit for more than 30 minutes unless you want to pay the extra per person. Again all listed in the documentation along with the no refund policy. It is a great destination right outside the hustle of downtown. All amenities within close distance of driving; restaurants, grocery, shopping, ect. S'more's fixings and microwave popcorn on the kitchen counter was a nice touch. The duplex fit the 9 people in our family well with each couple and/or single having their own room and a bathroom. There were a few games of bags played, a couple of people kayaked on the lake and a bit of frisbee golf did get played. We never did get around to sit around the campfire even though it looked very inviting, by the time we got back from golfing & dinner, we were too tired to stay up. Every one of us was happy with the home, with the 2 basement bedrooms seeming to be the favorite spots. ##### Rhonda E. Property was super peaceful with a great layout to host a small Sales Team meeting (7 adults). Relaxing bon fire pit to sit around after dinner was a bonus! It was the perfect setting as we were able to make breakfast and host meetings with the provided TV. It was so lovely, the area was beautiful and calm. The house owner was very kind and accommodating. The place was clean and the owner responded quickly to any messages. When driving up to the property the entrance felt a bit ordinary, but don’t let that deter you. There is a gem here behind the front door. This house is in fact a duplex which splits up the group, but this was the best case scenario for us. we had two kitchens, two living rooms and ample adjoined deck space. We were able to have the babies playing on one side while we watch golf on the big TVs on the other side. The properties are mirror images of each other but slightly different in minor ways. Master en suite and two more bedrooms with a shared bath on the top floor. Living / kitchen and walkout to deck on main floor. Basement had another en suite bedroom and adjoining living space. 8 bedrooms and 6 baths in total when you book the whole space. What really made the space was the fire rings and lakes side yard. The kids played on the dock, found turtles, played with dragon flies, and saw plenty of duck and geese families floating about. Canoes, kayaks, SUPs made for welcome distractions for everyone to get out and move without getting in the cars. Frisbee golf, hammocks, and other yard games made this a great place to hang and spend time together. Kitchen was appropriately stocked, but not the most comprehensive we have stayed with. Hardware could use some tightening around the kitchen and bathrooms. Yard was rustics. Appropriately cleaned. ##### Jonathan D. This lake home was perfect. From the ease in booking to the prompt reply to my questions, the host could not have been more helpful. And the property is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. The house was beautiful, everything had a modern look. The house was very clean upon arrival. There was a great view of the pond out back. We stayed when it was snowing so we didn't get to view that as much but it looked amazing. They had plenty of dishes to use. Laundry detergent was provided for us. Rooms were very spacious.
