The location of the hotel is far from most excursions on the island, so a car needs to be rented. If you don’t have a driving licence, I wouldn’t recommend staying here, as you’ll be stuck at the hotel unless you don’t mind paying for a taxi every time you want to leave the premises. We booked a room with a sea view, which was great to wake up to. However, there were cobwebs in the corners of the room. The hot water in the shower was hit and miss most days, and the shower screen wasn’t cleaned before or throughout the duration of our stay. Breakfast had a decent selection of food, but you often had to fight off wasps while trying to eat, particularly if you were sitting outside. The restaurant in the evening had a nice selection of food, and everything was cooked well, but the food was quite bland. Everything seemed to be garnished with chives, which became a little repetitive. Other than that, the service from the waiters was great. Most if not all excursions are cheaper if booked directly with the companies hosting not through the hotel. The aesthetics of the hotel was spot on, very picturesque as you'll see in the few pictures I have posted in the review. Overall the stay was hit and miss in most areas.

Extremely Disappointing — We Left Within About an Hour Our experience at Domes Aulūs Zante – All Inclusive – Autograph Collection was completely unacceptable, particularly for a property carrying the Marriott Autograph Collection name and charging luxury-hotel prices. My traveling companion and I booked two rooms for three nights. After a long day traveling through Greece, we arrived expecting the level of cleanliness, service, and hospitality associated with Marriott. Almost immediately upon entering our rooms, we both noticed a strong musty/mold-like odor. We reported it to management and were shown two additional rooms, but we perceived the same odor in those rooms as well. What disturbed us even more was how our concerns were handled. We were provided plug-in devices that staff initially represented to us as being for mosquitoes. When I questioned this explanation and confronted management about the devices being used as air fresheners, the manager acknowledged to me that they were air fresheners. We also documented numerous cleanliness and maintenance concerns with photographs, including dark discoloration and deteriorated areas around the shower enclosure, visible hair left on the toilet, and poorly maintained surfaces. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable remaining at the property. We left within approximately one hour of arriving and paid for alternative accommodations ourselves.
