The two-bedroom holiday home is very well presented, offering four guests a high standard of accommodation in a location you'll adore. It's in the Arnside & Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the hamlet of Sandside, just over the water from the southern Lake District and within a short drive of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the Forest of Bowland AONB. Sandside is breathtaking, with sublime views and loads of opportunities for walking and cycling. Although barely 15 miles from the southern shore of Windermere and less than ten minutes from Kendal, the number of visitors is far fewer than the Lakes, which means it always feels tranquil, even in the busy school holiday season. Would be useful to have more guest shelves in the bathroom and, for us anyway, firmer mattresses. Hadn't realised parking was in an access road used by large lorries and backing onto a quarry.
