Very kind host and manager. Home is adorable with people in mind. Very clean, the tub is amazing! If we end up in the area again we would love to stay
Hosts go above and beyond to make your stay a comfortable one. From making sure the temperature inside is perfect to local suggestions to very nice towels, everything was done right.
The house gave us a warm homey feel. The location is wonderful very quite neighborhood. Cali pointed us in the best direction to take the kids swimming. And we even got to see a moose. (Google got us lost and we stumbled upon it leaving his ) would definitely recommend swimming hole

This was the perfect stay for our family as we welcomed our very tired Appalachian Trail thru-hiker and his two friends. All hard flooring surfaces which we preferred and it was very clean. The host was very easy to communicate with and check out was easy. Thanks so much!
Everythung was wonderful, I would love to come back here again in the future! I've always had trouble finding enough sleeping space when my family and I go on trips but there were 4 bedrooms, nobody had to sleep on the couch (lol)
Cali was also so so sweet and extremely helpful, letting us know where to go for blueberries, for moose, for stargazing (which was amazing) and for river swimming. I'm so glad we decided to stay here. My mom is especially picky with cleanliness and she felt completely comfortable staying here, and the beds were super comfy too, I slept like a baby and now my own bed feels rough lol. Thank you again Cali for everything!!!
This is an old house that has been renovated and it's so well done! The downstairs is unique and quirky and we loved it. The kitchen has everything you could need. The downstairs bedroom and attached bath/laundry room was perfect for my sister-in-law. (she has trouble navigating stairs) So....for those "seniors" out there I'd like to point out that since this is an old house, the stairs are original and very narrow and steep. All the upstairs bedrooms have double beds so my husband and I slept in separate bedrooms. The bathroom upstairs has no shower BUT that tub is luxury!
Only a few changes would make the upstairs a "10" and I have communicated these things with the owner and was assured she would take care of these. (rods/hangers in the closets, doorknobs on doors, hooks & mirrors in bedrooms)
All in all I would definitely recommend staying here :)
The house was clean and had everything we needed for a hiking weekend. We met the hosts who gave great recommendations for food. Close to Baxter State Park for hiking and any other outdoor activities.
This seems to be an old Maine house that has been nicely updated. It was clean and comfortable. The host was very helpful and accommodating for my 11 PM arrival time. It was a seamless check in, which I appreciated. The drive to Baxter State Park took us about 30 minutes. Also, check out the antique snowmobile museum in Millinocket if you get a chance.
Was very clean. Lots of space for our group. One night was unusually hot so glad it had AC. It had everything we needed to cook a big pre hike dinner. The owner’s sister met us on arrival and gave us a thorough tour of the house. She was very welcoming. I’d absolutely stay there again.
Great stay. Perfect base for our Katahdin climb. House as advertised. Check in was personable and easy. Beds comfortable, kitchen well appointed with the basics, great dining table/area, and comfy living room and porch. We were a group of five adults (1 couple) and had more than enough room. At my age, don’t think I’ll attempt the summit of Katahdin again- but if we have occasion to be back in Millinocket I’d check availability here first.
