Came out with some friends from LA to hike and relax and this house truly delivered. The beds are super comfortable, the kitchen is a joy to cook in and a place where everyone can hang and we got to watch a rain storm from the comfort of the covered hot tub. If you’re looking for an escape I highly recommend.
The property is beautiful. The house is large with great views from the 360 degree wrap-around porch. The house is plentifully stocked from the kitchen to the baths to the game room - more so than any other of the 20+ houses we have rented over the years. The house had not been through a thorough cleaning in some time and there were active wasp nests on the porch - several wasps were inside the house. We saw numerous cockroaches. The manager sent someone to kill the wasp nests the next day. An exterminator did not show up to kill the roaches. Overall it was still a great house.
Great experience. Plenty of room for our families. Nice area. Quiet and secluded. Close enough to TIEC for travel. Beautiful view and space on deck to enjoy!
We thoroughly enjoyed our get away at Serenity! Just what our family with tweens/teens needed. Amazing views, beautiful trails as far as you can walk right outside your door, and easy drive to Lake Lure, Saluda or Flat Rock. House was prepared with anything you might need, and more than enough to entertain the kids on those rainy afternoons. Unfortunately we had to unexpectedly cut our visit short, but we hated to leave. We happened to meet the owner and the property manager was so helpful which made the trip a breeze. Hope to return some time!
The house was everything we expected. However it did have a roach problem. We contacted the property manager. He seemed aware ( saying the house had been treated 10 days ago 6 and very willing to help kill them . However we where quite disappointed that we had to kill so many and now have the fear they are in our suitcases. It made sleeping a little un easy to say the least.
Our "perfect" New Year's weekend for a group of outdoor lovers began with a sadly soggy start. No worries! The wood-fired stove in the family room kept us toasty and dry, while the giant sectional and loveseat in the living room were large enough to seat all 7 of us comfortably as we played games together.
The home's heating system was not working on the first day. No worries! There were plenty of blankets to be found in the closets, and the wonderful property manager somehow conjured a very capable HVAC technician on New Year's Eve.
We forgot to bring spices for some of the meals we planned. No worries! The pantry had everything we could possibly need, along with a friendly note from the owners inviting guests to use whatever they'd like.
When our final day came and the fog had finally lifted, the thermostat was set to the perfect temp, and our delicious meals were a happy memory, how surprised we were to see that this home also has a great mountain view and total privacy from all angles! Nice.
Beautiful views, spaces, great fun for a big family
Our property owner was very communicative and the home had everything we needed. There were several different spaces where small or large groups of us could gather, and we definitely enjoyed all the house had to offer. There are foosball and ping-pong tables downstairs, a great outdoor sitting area overlooking the mountains, tons of places to swing and rock and chairs on the porches, and a well-appointed kitchen. Plus the kids loved the hot tub. Our family of older teens, college kids, and parents had a fantastic time!
Very comfortable for a large family of all ages! Many great amenities with this property! The house is large and spacious yet cozy! Front and back porch views are spectacular!
This place is a hidden paradise. My family enjoyed staying in this house. It came supplied with everytwe needed and then some. So many great memories made here. So close to so many things to do but far enough away to feel like an oasis.
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Serenity house. A rare snowstorm brought close to 12 inches of snow while we were there! It was incredibly beautiful. We loved sledding in the front yard and warming up by the outdoor fireplace. The home is spacious, enough for 12 of us to spread out, and the kitchen provided more than we what we needed to cook all of our meals (ie. abundance of cookware, etc). The only item we really missed was having a TV in the main floor living room since it was play-off football! (There are only TVs in the loft upstairs or in the game room downstairs.) Boyd is a terrific property manager and always responded right away. He even let us stay an extra night when we got snowed in! We'd love to come back again the future.
This spacious home was the perfect spot for our family Thanksgiving. The kitchen had enough room for all the family chefs with plenty of space on the other side of the counter for the hecklers. The ping pong table saw several tournaments & was well-stocked & well-positioned in the game room. The hot tub was a terrific to watch the sunset from after a day spent hiking & visiting nearby breweries & wineries. The outside fireplace was used every night. In short, so much to love. The very few disappointments were that some of the beds weren't "adult" size, the mattresses were overly firm & didn't seem in keeping with the overall luxury of the home (like they were purchased at Big Lots), and the fact that there were only 12 towels for 12 people and the towels weren't plushy, very bare bones. That wouldn't stop us from returning, we would just bring extra towels! All in all an amazing property!
This was our second stay in this property and the homes amenities are perfect for our family. Our favorite area is the porch abs outdoor fireplace. The new furniture was a nice addition. Game room is always fun for this group.
We were 12 people. Not enough towels, we did laundry alot, for clean towels. Master bedroom, needs more curtains , it had 2 sets of new towels. Suggest, for 12 people 7 days, 2sets of towels each. Almost no towels for jacuzzi. Bedrooms net curtains. The aircondioner for upper level broke down, 2 window units put in 2 days later. My family said, they had to share towels and they were very worn out. We did love the Cabin, the kitchen, was amazing. The cabin was in beautiful condition. Nice furniture, beds, bathrooms, the view, the outdoor fireplace, roasted marshmallows alot! Family used the jacuzzi, and shared the very few towels. Enjoyed the outside alot. The seating was nice to relax on the deck. .. Susan Merkler.
Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed all this house has to offer as we celebrated my husbands 60th Birthday. Kitchen had all we needed and the indoor AND outdoor fireplace were great gathering places. We were blessed with great weather in February, so the deck (and hot tub!) was where we spent all day laughing & visiting. We were disappointed some bedroom windows did not have blinds for our light sleepers, but it didn't ruin our stay! Highly reccommend!
The house has a wonderfully stocked kitchen. The house is organized and labeled. We had a large party of three generations and everyone had their own space, room and bathroom. The views are gorgeous and we hiked to the creek almost every day. The hot tub was very nice and we spent our evenings making smores in the fire. It is in a very nice area and just a short drive to several nearby towns. The property managers are amazing and so responsive.
We loved renting this house for the 4th. It had gorgeous views, plenty of space for couples, and a great hot tub! The rental is worth it for the back deck alone. Make sure to check out the short (but steep!) hike down to the beautiful creek on the property.
What a great place to take multiple families for a getaway to the mountains! Lots of space inside and outside for everyone! Kitchen was well equipped and spacious! The only downside is the insulation between the floors is limited so you can hear everything. But not a problem when everyone brings a sound machine! We made memories and had so much fun!
Serenity does truly describe the house and surroundings. We had a wonderful stay with plenty of room both inside the house and on the scenic front and back porches. We had our extended family with grandchildren and there was plenty of room in this three-level home. Very spacious and well equipped kitchen. The property managers were very responsive when we needed them.
