Lavishly & tastefully furnished in a colourful moorish style Casita Carmela is a private townhouse perfectly situated in the heart of the beautiful, historic, village of Mijas with magnificent views of the Mediterranean Ocean. It is within easy walking distance to the abundance of restaurants and bars within the Pueblo which makes it the ideal location for anyone who would rather not rent a car. Situated down a very quite and peaceful lane, as you enter the property you will be stunned by the magnificent views from the spacious and gorgeous patio area which has ample sunny and shaded space for relaxing and for alfresco dining. (BBQ is also supplied.) In season you can even pick your own lemons and figs. There is a private Hot (or cold if preferred) Tub with an outside shower to relax in after a day of exploring the the village or meandering around the numerous , clearly marked, mountain trails. The open plan living/dining room offers a comfortable relaxed ambience and modernity is provided by having full free Wi-Fi throughout, a flat screen TV and iPhone compatible audio system. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with modern appliances including integrated fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave oven, gas hob and cooker extractor hood. It has everything you could ever need to conjure up a veritable feast! The large double bedroom, which has french doors leading to the patio area and is tastefully furnished, again in a very moorish style and is complete with plenty of wardrobe space and a four poster bed. The beautifully decorated large bathroom has twin wash hand basins and a huge double shower unit with his & hers shower heads. There is also a full sized under unit washing machine for you convenience. The property is fully air-conditioned throughout and has reverse hot air heating if required as well as underfloor heating in the bedroom and bathroom. NB - Casita Carmela has a shared front gate and access for our neighbour. Unfortunately it was only available for 5 nights and we could easily have stayed longer. The property is perfect in every way and the terrace and hot tub were the icing on the cake. The traditional furnishings and beautiful art work made it feel so very homely. We really relaxed during our stay and spent many hours just looking at the spectacular views. The booking process was easy and the hosts responded very quickly to any queries that we may have had. We will definitely return to this property and beautiful Mijas, we loved it! The owners Gordon and Adrienne have put a lot of thought and love into this unique villa. All the areas are beautifully decorated to the highest standard along with the white goods and furnishings. The location is fantastic 5 minutes walk into the town which has many amazing restaurants and plenty of shops sellng handmade jewellery and art. The outside space is a real haven and you will find yourself spending most of your time here. It is very spacious and the hottub is a welcoming bonus. The views from this terrace are amazing. We enjoyed our stay so much that we would have liked to return next year. Unfortunately ##### Adrienne W. Perfect and manageable property size for 2 and good space on the Patio in case of visitors. A little chilly when we were there but the aircon heaters were adequate and the bathroom area has underfloor heating. so evenings/nights were cosy. No immediate parking but free areas nearby which we found ok but may be more difficult in high season. All in all a great find ##### Trevor G. Second time staying in this beautiful villa, uncertain if visiting for a second time would be any less amazing as the first time but couldn't be more wrong. The villa inside and out is a piece of heaven, the view is fabulous and the 5 minute stroll into the centre of Mijas Pueblo is lovely. You will not go wrong booking this villa and 30 minutes in a taxi from the airport is great. I fly from East Midlands and my travel time door to door is about 7 hours even living an hour away from the airport. Great place to visit and amazing place to stay, there is no possible way you will not enjoy yourself. Reluctant in posting this review as it is letting more and more people know how good this place is as we will be returning next year and i am sure for many years to come.
