The Sunrise Suite is on the third floor, two flights up with no elevator. You can park free in the lot behind the building, first come, first served.

One guest wrote about the sunrise from this room, and the name came from that stay. It's about 220 square feet, with a full-size bed, a desk, a 42-inch smart TV and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The kitchenette has a cooktop, microwave, coffeemaker, sink, full-size refrigerator, cookware and dishes, and the mini-split keeps the room warm or cool. There's also an iron and ironing board.

Walk to Touro in about 15 minutes, or drive to Garnet Health in 7.

Guest Access:
Guests have private use of their suite, with smart-lock self check-in. One smart lock opens the main building entrance at the front right corner of 89 Cottage Street, beside the deli, and a second opens your suite door.

Your door codes arrive by message on the day of arrival, once you complete our short check-in registration form, so please fill it in before you travel.

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and checkout is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in may be available when approved in writing. Late checkout may be available for a fee and must be requested at least 12 hours before checkout.

Parking is free in the large private lot behind the building, first come, first served. One standard-size vehicle per reservation is preferred, and oversized vehicles are not permitted in the lot.

Shared laundry is in the building: $1.50 a load, paid by card in the app or with coins. Please don't run laundry during quiet hours.

There is no elevator. This suite is on the third floor, up two flights of stairs.

The Neighborhood:
The Columbus Suites, at 89 Cottage Street, puts you in downtown Middletown, close to local restaurants, cafes, breweries, shops and everyday errands, with Orange County and the rest of the Hudson Valley within easy reach.

Clemson Bros Brewery is a short walk down Cottage Street. Oak & Reed, the Paramount Theatre, Touro and Garnet Health are all close by for guests visiting the area.

By car, you can reach Woodbury Common, Galleria at Crystal Run, LEGOLAND New York, West Point, the Orange Heritage Trail and Bear Mountain.

It's a working downtown with a residential feel.

Getting Around:
A car or rideshare is the easiest way to move around Middletown and the wider Orange County area.

Free parking is available in our large private lot behind the building on a first-come, first-served basis. One standard-size vehicle per reservation is preferred.

Clemson Bros Brewery and several downtown stops are close by, while larger shopping, medical, school, family, and regional attractions are best reached by car or rideshare.

Middletown does have regional train and local transit options, but most guests will find driving or rideshare more convenient, especially for Garnet Health, Woodbury Common, Galleria at Crystal Run, LEGOLAND, West Point, Bear Mountain, and other Orange County destinations.

Other Things to Note:
The Columbus Suites is a renovated building of 14 studios in downtown Middletown, above a corner deli, so expect normal city sounds, footsteps in the hallway and neighbors on the stairs. One of the studios is rented long term.

The building has no elevator. This suite is on the third floor, up two flights of stairs. It does not suit guests who use a wheelchair or walker or who cannot climb stairs.

Only registered guests are permitted on the property. No visitors, parties, events, gatherings or commercial shoots are allowed.

Quiet hours are 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please be considerate of other guests in the building.

No pets are allowed. No smoking, vaping or cannabis anywhere inside the building, suites, hallways or common areas. Violations may result in cancellation, removal from the property, additional fees and smoke remediation charges.

Exterior and common-area security cameras are in place for guest and property safety. There are no cameras inside any suite and no noise monitors inside the rooms.

A Pack 'n Play with a crib sheet set is available on request.
