Wonderful home and location
We stayed in Lori’s cottage late June and we truly enjoyed the time there. The cottage is cozy, beautifully decorated and spotless. It is well stocked as well. The outdoor shower is fabulous! We communicated often with Lori and she is extremely nice and helpful. Her assistant Rebecca is lovely as well. We ended up meeting both of them in person and they are amazing! The location is perfect as well. We will definitely return!

Cozy weekend
We had a lovely weekend at this cozy cottage. Our stay was comfortable, and the location was perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport. You could tell that the hosts really pay attention to the small details at this place. It was also delightful to just sit outside and listen to the sounds of nature in the morning. Would also highly recommend a visit to the Norman Bird Sanctuary given its proximity.

Great stay in Middletown!
Really comfortable cabin-home place with everything we needed to feel at home... Great location, close to the beaches and Newport sights, but just far enough away to be out of the touristy scene... great, friendly and super responsive host.

Labor Day Getaway
The cottage was just as described. No bad surprises to be found. Clean and cozy, just wish some parts were a little higher as we had to watch out for our heads not getting bumped. If you're over 6 foot tall, watch your head. :) The water bottles and goodies in the kitchen were very appreciated. Only drawback was the lack of lighting outside at night. Really have to watch your step when it's dark. Thank you Lori for the recommendations and quick communication. Hope to be back again.

Everything as described. Quaint bungalow, perfect for two of us looking for some relaxing beach time. Short drive to public beach ($) and local restaurants. AC was pleasant during heat wave. Outdoor shower a bonus but would benefit from a bit more water pressure. Would definitely return.

Cutest Cottage Vacation
SOOOOO cute inside. Bathroom is a little tight, but my husband used the outside shower and loved it. Very quiet and comfortable. Plenty of clothes storage and the closets are huge and equipped with plenty of hangers. The single bedroom had tons of drawers. Kitchen has everything except a microwave, but there is a toaster oven. We loved it

Peaceful Retreat
We had a lovely getaway at Lori’s cottage. The cottage is just a pictured with tasteful and comfortable furnishings and bedding. The cottage is located in a peaceful area, adjacent to bird sanctuary, yet very convenient to the beach, restaurants, and downtown Newport. Lori responded promptly to all our questions. We would love to return next summer for a longer stay. Thank you Lori!

Great getaway
This was a last minute idea that Lori made go incredibly smoothly. It was a fun place to stay - nicely designed and great location for exploring the area. Lori was immediately responsive to emails with questions about the area.

A Wonderful Stay
This house was as advertised and reviewed - a lovely, clean, comfortable, equipped, private - a lovely place to spend our first trip to Rhode Island. The outdoor shower was great! Extra beach towels and beach chairs were useful and appreciated. The location was perfect - close to beaches, wildlife preserves, Newport. Lori was an incredibly friendly and helpful host.

Beautiful Peaceful cottage
I rented this cottage for myself to have a few days of rest and relaxation. The cottage was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed a visit to Sweet Berry farm up the street and walking around Newport, which is only a few minutes away. It was a great experience and I would definitely return!

"A return to childhood scenes" of the 1940's where I grew up.
Absolutely charming. A cozy nest for two (or three) people situated in one of the most idyllic areas of rural Aquidneck Island. Nestled in wooded bird sanctuary greenery while only minutes from the Middletown beaches.

Cottage Bliss
Lori was extremely accommodating,. The mattress and bedding were lovely and comfortable. The Bosch range was as good as our Viking at home. The AC worked great! The cottage is private and secluded - very restful yet close to the beach and near restaurants and shopping. The cottage has beach towels but bring your beach chairs and umbrella, if you need those items, we packed them. Daily “carload” beach rates are $20. Weekday and $30. Weekend/holiday. May a blue Jay leave a feather on the porch for you, as it did for us!

Charming super clean cottage
The cottage is very cozy and the furnishings are lovely. The bed was very comfortable- Italian linens!- and the rooms are quaintly vintage. We had just about everything we needed. The cottage is in a great area with lots of outdoor activities, whike close to Newport. Lori is a great host who made us feel very welcome. Only one thing to note: the bathroom is very small. Otherwise the place is pretty ideal.

Perfect escape
As we pulled into the driveway we felt the warmth. The lawn so neat with great outside furniture promising wonderful morning’s coffee. The minute we walked into the cottage we noticed the wonderful taste of the hostess. From the coffee cups to linens, everything beautifully integrated into a wonderful getaway atmosphere . The small touches like fresh cut flowers and strawberries and freshly baked goods made all the difference. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful and relaxing
This cottage is the perfect getaway to explore Newport, RI. It is well situated in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood just outside of the tourist spots of town. It is exceptionally clean, comfortable, and provides all of the amenities needed for a relaxing experience. The house is well equipped for cooking and grilling. The decor is beautiful. There is also a cast iron wood burning fireplace that kept the cottage warm and cozy on a cool evening. We loved our stay here and we’re able to disconnect in the quiet, beautiful surroundings of the cottage and the area. We were a few minutes’ drive from the beach and the Newport hotspots. We highly recommend this place and we would definitely recommend to anyone looking to rest and recharge.

Perfect Home-Away-From-Home
No words for what a lovely weekend we had, all thanks to Lori and her team. We regret that we couldn't stay the remainder of the summer. The cottage was perfectly located for privacy, beach days, grocery runs, evening walks, and access to Newport. The space itself was immaculate and lovingly well-appointed. Ample room for two people to work remotely and relax, and a fully stocked kitchen to truly live in a home-away-from-home. Finishings, furnishings, and linens are not done justice in pictures. During uniquely COVID times, Lori outfitted the cottage with plenty of masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and disinfecting wipes – we felt very safe continuing our quarantine. A special welcome basket with sunscreen and cookies (and more hand sanitizer!) rounded out the sweetest host experience we've had to date. Many thanks, Lori. And for future visitors, don't wait to take advantage of this Rhode Island gem. We hope to be back soon!

We have never spent time in this rear of the country and were amazed by the area's extensive beauty. The cottage is near the beaches of Middletown among streets shaded by overhanging trees and lined with stone walls. It's location offers easy access via roads that follow the sea to Sachuest Point, the Newport Mansions, Cliff Walk, Fort Adams and OCean Drive. Accommodations were comfortable, with nothing left to chance. Lori Abrams is the consummate host - one very knowledgeable about all the wonderful things to do in the area. She extended herself in every way to ensure we had a most memorable time. Thank you Lori, for your gracious hospitality and for the privilege of sharing your lovely cottage.

Life by the beach
Lori is an exceptional host. Always available and accommodating, she made sure I had the perfect stay and was happy with even the smallest thing. She is a wonderful person and a wonderful host. The cottage is perfect if you are looking for a home away from home with privacy, nature , and a very (very!) short drive to the beach (in fact you could walk to it). It is in one of the best areas of Aquidneck Island, surrounded by a natural reserve. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. You have a small house that feels more like a hotel suite (clean, tidy, elegant...Lori has very good taste), a fireplace, exceptionally comfortable beds, a deck overlooking the Bird Sanctuary from which you can hear birds sing, a pretty garden with flowers and a cute little bunny who inhabits it and welcomes you in the driveway each time you return.. Lori had fresh cut flowers awaiting inside with a welcoming lavender/lemon cake baked in a near by bakery. What can I say, a place to return, without a doubt! Thank you, Lori! 😃

I spent 3 weeks in July at the cottage. I loved every minute of it. The place has everything you would need, including AC, great linens,outdoor space and comfy beds. We were about a half mile from the beach and by a wonderful Berry Farm for coffee in the mornings, and sandwiches for the beach. I loved Middleton, away from the busy of Newport. The cottage abuts a bird sanctuary so it was very quiet and peaceful. Lori was the best! Thank you for a restful three weeks in Rhode Island on the coast, I will be back! Sue

Wonderful, cute little cottage in a private & quiet location
This cottage is absolutely the cutest I have ever seen. It's fully equipped and its beautifully decorated. It was a pleasure to stay there and enjoy it. I would come back any time when it's available. I've biked every day to the 2nd beach in Middletown, called Sachuest Beach for only 10 minutes. It was great! This cottage is located in a very private and peaceful setting. I loved it!

Lovely cottage for 2
It’s an amazing little cottage in a secluded location yet somehow in the middle of everything (beach and downtown). It’s the perfect size for 2. The house is stocked with all the grilling and cooking essentials. Lori is extremely communicative and we couldn’t have had a better time.

Relaxing weekend
The cottage was so cute, clean, and comfortable. We had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. It was so nice to stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Newport yet we could easily get into town when we wanted to. We enjoyed being so close to third beach. Lori made herself very available so the entire process was a breeze when we wanted to add another night on to our stay. Thanks for a lovely weekend!

Wonderful! Well appointed, near all Newport beaches tucked away in a quaint culdesac 1/2 mile from 3rd beach. Lori was a wonderful host. Bed was very comfortable back deck offered quiet mornings with bird song. A must stay 😊

Perfect get away and location
Let me first begin by saying that ot was a pleasure working with Lori, the owner of this property. She was pleasant, accommodating, and she went above and beyond. This property is in the perfect location. Short drive to the beach, downtown Newport and the Navy base, with minimal traffic. While the property was convenient, it also offered a nice get away from the crowds of people and packed streets. Sitting in a quiet neighborhood, the only noise came from the morning birds in the neighboring bird sanctuary. Really the best of both worlds, we were able to relax at the property and also enjoy the sights of Newport easily. The house itself was well kept and had everything we needed, including the kitchen, which you don't always find with rentals. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying here again. From the fresh flowers on the table, overall cleanliness and decor or the house, combined with a superb host, made this an absolute wonder weekend stay. If you haven't gathered from this review, I would highly recommend this rental.
