About this property

Adorable cottage in the Michiana Shores area! Close to Lake Michigan and Dunes

  • Enjoy beautiful Northwest Indiana area which is close to wineries, breweries and casinos! Washington Park Zoo is aslo close by as are the Indiana National Park and Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan. Set among the woods with natural wildlife.

    The home is a 3-bedroom/2-bath home. There's a large master with king bed and en-suite bathroom. The other two bedrooms feature queen beds with a shared bathroom. There's a front porch with seating, and a screened in porch and outdoor space with fire pit in the backyard. Side door grill with easy access. The open layout living room, dining room, and kitchen are great for gathering, playing games and enjoying a meal.

    If you like to eat out we have STop 50 Pizza a block away, Swingbellies burgers down the street and the Famous Redamaks about 1 mile into New Buffalo, MI!

Great place!

The house was gorgeous- pictures do not do it justice! Beds were very comfortable. It was a great location. Bikeable ride to beach, a little far to walk. There was a small parking area at Stop 37 beach, but it says 15 minute parking (we never got a ticket, but I imagine during peak season this may be an issue). Family friendly. We loved it!

We received a call and told the unit we reserved was not ready and were moved to another one. Upon arriving it appeared pretty much the same except this unit appeared handicap accessible with a ramp coming off the driveway which was nice while unloading the car. The unit was very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen if you are wanting to prepare a meal it has everything needed. The beds were comfortable, and the outdoor area was nice. Remember to pack toiletries I forgot mine and there were none available in the shower to get started with. There is a supermarket close by that carries everything you may need. The unit was very clean, and we enjoyed our stay, thank you. If we ever decide to return to the area, we will definitely stay here again.

Check in was super easy. The owner even arranged for us to enter a bit early. We were 4 adults, 2 in the king and 1 in each of the other queens. Plenty of space. Enjoyed the cornhole game but didn't have time to play Yahtzee. Much appreciated!

Summer family vacation

Everything as advertised and as expected. Had some games and toddler items included (high chair and a portable crib), which was useful for us. We had no need to talk with the host, but they live around the corner so suspect they'd be very responsive. Location has easy access to many things, and about 20 minutes walk for beach access.

Great stay!

Property was clean, exactly as described. Very comfortable. Beautiful walk to beach access point 34 (only 15 minute parking close to entrance), with stairs to beach. We dropped off beach supplies off with car and sent an adult to take car back to house and walk back to beach. Beach was clean, nice sand. Small outdoor back space to roast marshmallows and saw lots of deer which the kids loved. House is one of 3 similar properties in a row and can be rented together we found out. Would for sure rent again!

Great house

House was exactly as pictured. Very nice, comfortable beds, everything you would need. Appreciated having a few Keurig pods waiting for us. Well set up, very clean. It rained a lot during our stay, and there must be a sump pump somewhere near the front of the house. You could hear it go off every few minutes in the front bedroom. That took some getting used to. But can’t control the weather! Otherwise, great place and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Beach trip

Me and the girls stayed here to visit the beach at Washington Park. Loved the house and the decor. Loved that the owners had a couple of beach chairs and a wagon for us to use. The house sits very close to train tracks, so if you don’t like hearing train horns, you’ll want a different location. I actually loved hearing the trains. We were visited by several deer over the few days we were there. They came up pretty close to the house because someone put food out for them in the lot next to the house. I would definitely stay here again. The only disappointment was that the original listing said there was a hot tub; I didn’t see a picture of it, so I messaged the owner and was told there was no hot tub. Bummer, but we probably wouldn’t have had time to use it anyway.
