It was a private unit therefore the check in had to be with a host and I it was made clear in the reservation at all. I went in and had to wait for a host to come in and check me in. the room windows were not clean as well as the balcony door handlewas broken. The balcony it self was really dirty and I was not able to use it. The apartment it self was okay put together although the towels were stained.

Extremely disappointing experience with this host. We were deliberately kept waiting for hours to check into the unit simply because I raised reasonable concerns about signing a Gale waiver that appeared to absolve the host/management of responsibility for the cleanliness, furnishings and overall condition of the rental. Rather than addressing my concerns professionally, the response was rude, dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. Hospitality requires communication, accountability and a genuine willingness to assist guests. Unfortunately, none of that was reflected in our experience. Based on the way our concerns and check-in were handled, I would not recommend this host.

When I arrived at the apartment, the AC was not working at all (a basic amenity, especially in Miami), and neither was the ceiling fan. The owner was not particularly helpful and did not address the issue until the following day. After spending a very hot and uncomfortable night, they finally sent someone to repair the AC at 1pm and they spent 4 hours doing that, making a lot of noise and the house was full of smoke at some point. It was like being in a construction site. The owner told me to leave, so I was essentially unable to stay in the apartment I paid for. When I asked for some kind of compensation for this, they only offered a late checkout which I didn't ask for and nothing else. When I complained with Expedia they didn't help me either, it seems that they cannot do anything when it is a private apartment. So be careful! I would not recommend staying here.
