Located at 5225 Collins Avenue in the South of Mid Beach directly on the beach this location is recognized for its intimacy, charm, and direct access to the beach. It is the perfect spot for singles or families, is safe and friendly. We are less than 3 miles to the center of South Beach. Local activities include delicious eateries, fine dining, tourist attractions and night life. The beach and boardwalk are just steps away from our pool area where we have two heated pools and hot tubs. HORA VACATION RENTALS manages many of the finest units at the Alexander. Apartment 1620 at The Alexander is nicely decorated with bonus third private sleeping area off living room with sliding doors (expands to larger living area by day and 3rd bedroom by night). This is a large 1200 sq ft 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom premium corner apartment with magnificent views and 20 ft balcony. The apartment is fully furnished and has two queen beds in the master bedroom, 3 twin single beds in the guest bedroom, and 2 twin singles in convertible 3rd bedroom den area. Bonus sofa futon sleeper in living room. One of our recent guests was raving about their stay and said "The views were amazing! From the balcony you can see all of Miami, as well as ocean and beach. We especially enjoyed the view at night. We were also thankful for the additional sleeping made available by converting the bedroom off the living room area. The sliding wall worked very well for the 3rd bedroom and was a clever way to gain space during the day and privacy in the evening.” Extra guests: Standard rate includes sleeping up to 6 guests, each additional guest is $35 per night up to maximum of 9 guests. Party of 8 and we slept very comfortably. The hot water didn’t work for the first 24 hrs and we didn’t have enough towels and washcloths to accommodate our party. Once I spoke with the hosts, they were provided. The only complaint I have is the low amount of lighting. There’s mostly just natural light to work with. The front desk employees were very rude and did not communicate with them well. We understand it was a 3rd party rental but the front desk did not want to communicate or explain anything to my guest checking in. They gave attitude and refused to help them. When they finally got to the room they took a look around and the bathroom had mold in around the showers. There was hair and dust in the the bathroom floors and sink. They took it upon themselves to clean it up themselves because after a 12 hour flight all the wanted was a shower and to relax. The bedroom floors were not swept correctly and there was hairs around the floor and on the bed sheets. We dusted the sheets off and went to bed but by the 2nd night we noticed we started having bites on our legs, neck and chest, we are very sure it was bed bugs. Everyone that was staying with us had them on there bodies. I’m usually not one to complain but I have stayed at 3rd party rentals before and hotels and one thing forsure is that communication, cleanliness and also host is a big deal for example no one ever came by to take our trash so we had our trash cans and kitchen full of trash bags, boxes and recyclables. Our bathrooms ran out of toilet paper and trashes were full. this one has been by far the poorest on cleanliness. So my rating is 1 star. I would like to speak to someone about it ##### Orlando M. This property is especially great for groups. The entire building is beautiful and the accommodations provided by Hora were fantastic. Beach amenities are spot on. Do be careful as the staff is pretty strict around the pool however it is for the best. Will definitely use this host again for future family get togethers. ##### Don H.
