I didn't expect anything well appointed given the size, price point and neighborhood, but the property still fell below my expectations in many ways. The owners appear to be doing the bare minimum to maintain the property so issues like warped rotted floorboards, toilets that don't flush dependably, lights that don't work, and poor landscaping in the backyard all accumulate. the furniture and televisions are old and have seen better days. the linens/towels/dishware is sparse and of very basic quality. The owners also don't do a good job of disclosing things that cost extra such as heating of the pool and jacuzzi or the restriction of just two cars (for a unit that supposedly sleeps 20) until after the place has been secured with no option for a refund. The owner also asked me to provide a favorable review in exchange for an extra hour of grace period on the checkout before I had even checked into the property which just gave me the ick. I get that the owners are just trying to generate income from a property that has seen better days, but there is almost a laziness suggested by minor things that just need a little elbow grease and attention and not much money to address. I don't imagine anyone out of college drawing a middle class salary and used to traveling on a middle class budget is going be comfortable in this property. The six of us guys who stayed there all agree that most of our wives would have insisted on a hotel if they had been asked to stay on property.
