One of the best gites we've stayed in

We have travelled France extensively, and stayed in a lot of gites, but this place has to be our favourite. The gite is very open and spacious and tastefully decorated and provides all the essentials you need for a comfortable stay. A real home from home. The bed is very comfortable, so are the sofas in the living area. The washing machine and clothes dryer were very useful for us, and the WIFI is very fast and reliable. Our dog was made to feel very welcome and the enclosed private garden is ideal for him. The gite is a great base to explore Charante Maritime and is around 40 minutes walk from Meursac, a lovely quaint village with a bakery, charcuterie and bar. Walking / cycling through surrounding vineyards and forests is a real pleasure. Further afield, Saujon - a great vibrant and lively town is just 10 minutes away and the coastal areas such as Royan, Ile d'Oleron and La Rochelle are an easy drive/cycle away. Christelle is a fantastic host, helpful and friendly and we would recommend this gite to anyone and will definitely be returning here on our next trip to France.
